Courtyard by Marriott Parsippany

They have cold beer; just ask the front desk. What a blessing after an all-day drive! This hotel has a friendly staff and super-clean and attractive rooms. The heater is a little loud and drafty. We really liked the place overall.

We expect Marriott hotels to be clean and comfortable but t his Courtyard Marriott gets high marks from us for a quiet well-insulated room. Our ten month old grand-daughter was next door and we could not hear her cry. We would have liked an included continental breakfast but the restaurant offerings were reasonably priced and well-prepared. Fresh coffee in the lobby was not the usual anemic hotel brew and was replenished frequently. Staff was pleasant and friendly. Pool was very heavily chlorinated.

Overall, it was a great experience to stay in Courtyard. Food was nice and room was so clean.

Everything was fine but the room had a slightly deodorized smell and the rug seemed slightly damp. They do not include breakfast with the room price. The front desk was friendly but charged me for the wrong room. Fortunately I caught the error.

Very convenient to dining, stores and movie theater

Clean room and comfortable bed. But I heard snoring from the room next door all night long. Room was small...not a suite as I expected. Not a good value, frankly. Then to add insult to injury they had a breakfast bar that was mediocre at best and charged me 10.00 for it, when Hampton Inn has the same breakfast bar for free. I asked for dinner directions to a restaurant and the front desk clerk just put up a cheezy copy of "recommended restaurants" (4) with brief written directions and then walked off. Very cold and not helpful at all. I doubt I will return to this hotel again.

Convenient location. Very clean. Rooms could be a little bigger. Experienced a fire alarm at 5:30 a.m. which kept us outside almost an hour. Apparently this happen frequently at this hotel.

It was noisy. It seemed I constantly was hearing the doors of the other rooms close to me slamming shut.

Good experience

The only thing good about this room was that it was clean. The bed was way too soft and it had a huge dip in the middle..very uncomfortable. So much so that I almost checked out at 2 in the morning. My back was killing me. The room was pretty small and the place that they had the TV was just bizarre. It was located on the left side of the bed. So if you wanted to watch from the bed, you had to lay on your right side or turn your head to the right to watch it. My neck started hurting so I just gave up. I have never seen a hotel room set up like that before in my life. When I checked out the next morning I mentioned to the guy at the desk about the uncomfortable bed and that I almost left in the middle of the night and I received no response at all. He just looked at me. No "I'm sorry" nothing. I wasn't looking for a freebie, but some sort of concern would have been nice. These people obviously don't care about their customers. Oh, and by the way. There aren't any vending machines at all in the entire place. So if your thirsty or want a snack late at night, you'll have to get dressed, drag yourself all the way down to the front desk where they have this small refrigerator with a shelf of snacks to get it. A small 16 oz bottle of soda will cost you $2.00! I mean, who wouldn't rather throw on a robe or something and take a few steps down the hall and throw some money in a couple vending machines with zero interaction with humans?? Very aggravating.
