Good value
Nice clean hotel and friendly staff. Good price too. Decent breakfast restaurant in the lobby. Only drawback is the location. You can avoid the hotel's shuttle service (as I did) by walking up the hill for about 10 minutes and then get a bus for 3 bucks or so which takes you to the Port Authority Station in nearby Manhattan. But I did you use their shuttle to arrive at the hotel on my first night. Recommended hotel if you are looking for a cheaper option that is still pretty close to Manhattan.

Average
This was an average hotel we stayed at for an event at the Meadowlands Expo. The staff was nice. The room was clean but outdated. The hallway smelled of smoke. The roads around the hotel were confusing and there were no good restaurants in the area except by Meadowlands.

Fantastic Location for visiting N.Y. without spending lots of $$
It was a great location to go to N.Y. Times Square area in just about 10 minutes in the hotel's shuttle. For my and my husband, it was perfect!

Awful trip
NOT so great!
Do not stay here if you plan on traveling into NY. The taxi rides each way were $59 and $74 dollars and varied depending on who drove you! It's a nightmare trip. You think you're close and saving money but you are not. The hotel didn't have a shuttle so just to get there was $59. and back was $52. I spent more money just trying to get back and forth, so I couldn't really appreciate the hotel!

close to nyc expensive to get there
This hotel is probably 7 minutes outside the city, yet a taxi can cost you upwards of $60. They provide a shuttle service for about $20 at pretty inconvienent times if your going out in the city.. use amigo taxi service if you need at taxi, its 20 to the city they're always late though so call an hour ahead. It wasn't a completely unpleasant experience but I woud not stay there again. Actually I forgot the worse part there's a breakfast cafe in the hotel that had one cook and one waitress that served everyone in the cafe minus my friend and I so apart from ordering our own food with the cook and picking it up with him it wasn't even good. Worst service I've experienced in my life.

Unbeatable for the price and location
This was our third stay at the Days Inn in a years time.We came from Buffalo last year and again this year for the Springsteen concerts at Giants Stadium. The stadium is only minutes away from the hotel,we could see it from our window. Rt 3 entrance to the stadium is right outside the hotel. The cafe in the lobby is just wonderful and the Hearty Hudson breakfast is delicious and only $8.50,,The service there is awesome,,thanks [...] and [...] for your awesome service. Our rooms everytime we stayed were very clean. We will come back to Days Inn when Bruce opens up the new Giants Stadium next year.Parking was free by the way.For location (minutes from NY City) and the price and all you get for it ,,this hotel is the place to stay.

Excellent Bargain
We have stayed here before and it's an excellent way to see the city without paying exorbitant hotel prices. Rooms are sparse, but have all you need, including refrigerator and microwave - which most hotel rooms do not have. Baths have been upgraded - marble tile makes everything look spotless. Staff is helpful. Free internet access in rooms; also several PCs in lobby to access email. Coffee shop onsite is good and very convenient. They have a shuttle service, but we use the park and ride lot in N. Bergen (5-minute drive) and take the #320 bus in to Port Authority. Parking and round-trip bus is $8.25. I didn't realize you got your bus fare with the parking ticket. That's a little tricky. It's all automated, so at the parking lot's entrance gate, you select your fare type (round trip or one way) and get a ticket. I wondered why they cared about that when you were just parking. After you park, you go in to the waiting room and put the ticket in the machine to pay: you get a parking voucher AND your bus tickets - based on what you punched in at the gate. If you are not careful, you may end up paying for bus tickets twice -- like I did. Directions to the hotel are also tricky. NJ just doesn't have decent signs. Also RTs 1&9 are divided highways: you can see the hotel across the street on your left, but you have to go in the opposite direction, and take a right to make a U-turn to get to it. Get good directions for returning from the park and ride lot because that is confusing also.
