SpringHill Suites by Marriott Newark Liberty International Airport

I don't know who rates these places. It is NOT a four star hotel. A "suite" should have more than a half-wall between the bed and the desk. It should also have more than microwave, fridge and sink. The location is very difficult to get in/out. There is not a decent restaurant anywhere nearby to be found. The complimentary breakfast was a bit below average but not too bad. This is a good place for one night passing through Newark Airport when you don't have to eat.

I ASKED FOR ANOTHER ROOM OR BED FOR MY CHILDREN AS WRITTEN IN MY REQUEST BUT NOBODY HELPED ME TO MAKE SURE MY KIDS HAVE A PLACE TO SLEEP OR EVEN CAME AFTHER TO FIND OUT HOW WE MANAGED WITHOUT EXTRA BED FOR MY KIDS.

I had to take the shuttle back to the airport to get a meal.

Just needed a quick night sleep before driving to Manhattan Island. This place was about a 30 minute drive from downtown NYC at 9:00am, not too bad. We passed this hotel multiple times and our GPS kept on re-routing us until we just found the entrance by ignoring GPS and just following street signs. Free internet was nice since the previous hotels I stayed at didn't offer it. Breakfast had a nice spread and the food items were constantly refreshed.

It was good for the money, we actually stayed there twice after returning from NJ. Clean and simple, Cable TV, bathroom a bit small but clean.

Service: decent- staff was courteous and helpful although not always at the front desk. Room: The room was a good size, although things were in an awkward place. BIG ISSUE with the bathroom. The shower had a huge hole in it that had been badly patched. mold was beginning to creep in under the tape that had been spackled into place. The front desk manager even gave me a choice of rooms, I don't understand why he gave me THAT one. You'd think he'd know about the room condition and that sort of room would be a last resort. Location: Very convenient to the airport, a little awkward to get to. Breakfast: A little lower standard than your average continental breakfast. Very little fresh fruit, and stale pastry. Eggs were AWFUL. Second day I just had orange juice.

Hotel is clean. Great breakfast. Just be prepared to wait for the shuttle from P4 to the hotel. It only leaves from the terminal on the quarter past and quarter to the hour. You can end up waiting quite a while for the shuttle and watch out for it, the markings are not clear. Also, the shuttle serves Marriot Courtyard too so don't miss the all green bus. Very short ride to the hotel. If there are many people waiting for shuttles be warned, there is no communication between the hotel and the driver of the shuttle as to how many people they are picking up. You have to keep your eyes posted. (That can be a challenge when there was late flight which caused 100 people to descend on the shuttle bus area at the same time.)

The hotel was fine for a quick stay before an early flight out. The roads to get to the hotel are like a ball of spaghetti --- you can see the hotel, but getting there requires a GPS! Not the hotel fault, but even the parking lots between the three Marriott hotels (Courtyard, Fairfield and Spring Hill Suites) could be a LOT easier to drive around!!

My stay was quick...in at 6pm and out at 7am the next morning. I chose this hotel because of the closeness to the airport and 25 minute driving distance to my next day destination. A little confusing circling around from the airport to get to the opposite side of the highway, but manageable. There was also traffic noise throughout the night due to the closeness to the highway. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and included complimentary breakfast.

it's an ok hotel, but it was a nightmare to get there, so be prepare to get lost. The hotel in general was o.k. The room was clean, and big enough. The complimentary breakfast was really good.
