SpringHill Suites by Marriott Newark Liberty International Airport

The location was close to transportations needs to all of our attractions in NYC.. The staff was very pleasant and attended to all our needs and wants. The shuttle bus is very useful and all the drivers are courteous and friendly,especially Mr. George. This was our second stay @ this location.

Basic lodging for business. Front desk personnel were exceptional. Especially [...] and [...]. [...] patiently talked me through directions and guided me to the location from the very complicated local highway system.Continental breakfase & 24/7 complimentary coffee was appreciated and an added bonus.

Rooms were a good size, beds very comfortable, staff was very helpful answering questions.Pool/hottub were very nice, though the pool was much smaller than expected.Other reviews aren't lying. This place is a complete pain in the [*] to find the first time.

I don't know who rates these places. It is NOT a four star hotel. A "suite" should have more than a half-wall between the bed and the desk. It should also have more than microwave, fridge and sink. The location is very difficult to get in/out. There is not a decent restaurant anywhere nearby to be found. The complimentary breakfast was a bit below average but not too bad. This is a good place for one night passing through Newark Airport when you don't have to eat.

The airport shuttle was super convenient and fast, about 10 minutes away from Newark International. The free breakfast was lovely and I couldn't get over how big the rooms were!

Just needed a quick night sleep before driving to Manhattan Island. This place was about a 30 minute drive from downtown NYC at 9:00am, not too bad. We passed this hotel multiple times and our GPS kept on re-routing us until we just found the entrance by ignoring GPS and just following street signs. Free internet was nice since the previous hotels I stayed at didn't offer it. Breakfast had a nice spread and the food items were constantly refreshed.

This hotel is a great option for the money. The only drawback is that there are not any restaurants close by (unless you visited inside another hotel). The staff was very friendly. The rooms were spacious and it was nice to have a separate area with a desk so I could work and spread out without covering the bed with papers! There was very little noise at night - surprising since they are less than 2 miles from the airport... The continental breakfast was free and included waffles, eggs, bagels, cereal, juice, coffee, fresh fruit, and muffins. There was plenty of seating and the food was really good. Breakfast was not supposed to start until 6:30am but when I was downstairs by 6:15am breakfast was already being served. I was on business and did not use the exercise room or the pool so I can't comment on that. The parking was free and there were plenty of spaces. I did see the airport shuttle come this morning to transport people for their early morning flights.

Clean and new. However, there was a blood stain on both the pull out matress on the corner, and also on the sheet that was in the closet to put on the bed. Quiet, even though close to the airport. No smiles at the front desk. Excellent value for the price paid.

I had to take the shuttle back to the airport to get a meal.
