Real dive

All we needed was a place to sleep after a flight and I went with the cheapest. Big mistake. Located between a dozen overpasses, nothing in walking distance in the way of food. The place smelled even though we got a "no smoking" room. Decor was cheap and thin. Could not even get a beer at the restaraunt. No alcohol license. Trapped- we slept and left early. Should have spent an extra $20 for a nicer hotel.

Good for the price

It's fairly cheap for a night's stay. The bed was not bad. Overall, I think I got what i paid for. FYI: you have to pay for your parking fee yourself, it's $15.

three days at Howard Johnson

I was pleasantly surprised at the professionalism and the cleanliness of the Hotel in Newark. The staff members were very nice and helpful. I plan on visiting Newark again within the year and I believe I will probably book at the Howard Johnson again. Thank You, Oregon visitor

Howard Johnson, Newark, NJ

Well, we were early due to the change flight. Told the front desk lady that we have been travel,no sleep and very very tired & my daughter was there for interview. With flat face, she just said $30 for early check-in... or just have to wait till 12n. (the charge was $56.50/night) So we stayed out side lobby for 2 1/2 hrs. the hotel was noisy, hard to rest. Next day @ 11:50a, knock on the door," check out time" for check out time of 12n. We have stayed in all kinds hotel, never have anyone knock on door to chase people out. I will never go there or suggest anyone to stay there.

Bad

The worst experience in a hotel. Broken tub drain. unavailable Wi-Fi internet connection although it was part of my reservation items. The staff are agressive, not friendly and they couldn't solve any problem.

Howard Johnson Newark NJ

Good thing is a free shuttle to/from airport. Rooms are OK, but all smoking. Staff is OK, a bit cold. Overall, price/quality ratio is actual.

fantastic family getaway

This hotel provided me with rhe best accommodation for my stay. The hotel lobby, room and cafe were very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel to any family or friend.
