Great value for convenient hotel
This hotel has a central location for people wanting to go to NJ and NYC. The staff were amenable, the accommodations very nice and the location is outstanding. I will be staying there each time I am in the NYC area! You do not need to rent a car if staying here and only going into NYC.

Close to NYC at a great price.
Most enjoyable stay for the week of Thanksgiving. The dinner was great. My only complaint is that the parking lot is a bit small.

Perfect Stay
I stayed at Hilton Newark Penn Station because I was attending a reunion at the Newark Club and then going into the City (New York) to play tourist. The location couldn't have been any better. The Club was a block away and Penn Station right across the street. The staff was A-1! Helpful and friendly and always had a pleasant good morning for you. The room was your typical 2-bed and on the small side, but it was clean and the beds were SO comfortable! There was a Starbucks and other quick dining places in the lobby. They also had a small fitness center, which I didn't use but my friend did. So it's fine if you want to get some quick cardio in and lift a few weights. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Comfortable place
We've been to Manhattan every 3 days, which makes any issue with the location. Room is clean and staff is so kind. What can I say more than this?

Business in NYC
I spent 8 nights at the Hilton Penn Station and I couldn't have been more pleased. Although the hotel appears a little dated, my room was clean and comfortable and it was quiet except for an occassional siren on the streets. The restaurant food was delicious and reasonable. The location and convenience to Penn Station was excellent. I commuted everyday to NYC and it was a breeze. I would defenitiely stay here again.

Good if visiting Manhattan
Easy access to the NJ Transit which takes you to Manhattan in 20 minutes. Only costs $5 each way. Conductor never collected my ticket so it was actually a free return trip. Hotel has a Dunkin Donuts, Subway and McDonalds right next to it in the attached covered mall/walkway. Do not venture outside the streets at night, or on the day either, very bad and rundown neighborhood (duh, it's Newark). Rooms were average. Beds comfortable. The maids seem to want everyone out by 8 AM seeing how they talked loudly in the hallway every morning. All in all it's a worth while hotel that's about $100 cheaper than a comparable one in Manhattan.

"Simply The Best"
Location, location, location! I came in on the train at Penn Station and never had to leave the building to get to the hotel. I had several engagements in New York while in Newark and travel between the two cities was such a breeze because the train to NY City was located inside Penn Station. The hotel was within walking distance to everything. The hotel, staff and food were just wonderful! It will be my home away from home when in Newark!

Great Location
A friend and I stayed here for the night when we went to a concert at the Prudential Center. It is in a perfect location. We were able to walk to the concert through the hotel and it brought us about a block away. It was great, especially because it was almost 100 degrees out! Everyone was friendly and everything was very clean.
