Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Newark Liberty International Airport

This hotel is very close to the airport (within 5 minutes). It is part of several Marriott hotel chains right next to each other. For food you will need to go to the Courtyard unless you drive but otherwise it is not worth paying more for the nicer brands. The hotel is clean and comfortable but our room was a bit noisy due to wind and airplane traffic. Shuttle runs 24 hoursa day to the airport.

The hotel is great. Very comfortable, great amenities and good value. We even took a shuttle to the airport at 4am, and they were accommodating. The only problem is that it is really tricky to get to. The address on the gps is not right. Even though you can see it from the thruway, its very complicated after that.

We stayed 3 nights on a trip to NYC. It was a bit of lengthy commute to and from the city (an hour minimum), but was fairly easy and still cheaper than staying in or near Manhattan. The hotel itself was fantastic. Fairfield can be hit or miss, this was a hit. Staff was great and very helpful, rooms were spotless and comfortable, free wifi throughout, and a good free breakfast spread. Free shuttles run every half hour to the airport, where you can transfer to NJ Transit for trips throughout the region. If you are visiting NYC and don't mind spending some time getting to and from, I'd highly recommend for these prices and amenities. If you're in Newark for business or other reason I'd stay here for certain.

The hotel is the standard that you would get for this price, but the the staff is absolutely stellar and make the experience worthwhile. To reach the hotel by car you have to make a sharp right turn off of the highway going to the airport.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the room was very large even with a king bed. It was a good value for the amenities.

We needed a place to sleep for one night while visiting New York, this hotel was recommended . We did get lost trying to find it, but it was mostly from driving all night with no rest. The front desk staff was very courteous, helpful, and when calling for directions, extremely polite. Good size room, King bed was comfortable, bathroom did not have working ventilation, but the room had it's A/C. The jacuzzi and pool are clean areas, towels provided. The breakfast was OK, but not nearly enough places to sit down, ended up taking it back to our room. Very clean, and overall great hotel to stay at. Only a 10min drive to Downtown NY.

Great hotel...........except...... No place to sit down and eat dinner. I had to walk down the road to another Marriott hotel just to get a snack for dinner. (Food was very expensive!) Very difficult to get to. My taxi driver made at least 4 passes and u-turns to finaly get on the right road/ramp. I told him to pull over and I will walk to the hotel.

This hotel was very clean and the staff were terrific. Its not the 4 Seasons, but its definitely worth the value. It was clean, the breakfast was good and the staff were great. I recommend.

For what we needed for a nice hotel, close to EWR and NYC, with good transportation links to both, the Fairfield Inn did the job for us.

the staff had a nice smile, the room was clean and the facilities in general were very new and clean. That being said, the location is a little out of the way (hard to find if you are driving) but if you take the airport shuttle it's super easy.
