Great deal!

Very nice hotel in the heart of Rutgers town! Upon entering, the staff was very helpful and courteous. Check-in was quick, ... and I was in our room in no time. My girlfriend arrived about an hour after I did, and ended up waiting over 20 minutes for the valet to take her car. I ended up parking in the garage across the street--it was cheaper and wasn't really a big deal. I'd say skip the valet. The room was clean and very modern. Bed was comfortable, and was rather quiet. If you wish to use the pool and/or spa, they're both on the 3rd floor. I didn't use either one so I can't comment. The bar was very nice. Drink prices are about what you'd expect at a upscale hotel. Didn't go to the hotel restaurant. I booked the room for about $100 on a Saturday night. Can't go wrong!

$24/car to park for overnight guests!
freeoh May 10, 2009
The hotel was nice enough but you have two options for parking. Valet it with the hotel for $24 a car since they have none of ... their own parking and must drive it to a lot. Or drive around the block and park in the public lot for $15 a day and then lug your luggage back to the hotel yourself! Next time I'd try the Hyatt, the only other game in town. Not sure what their situation is but... Heldrich should at least pay the $15 for their guests, and it would be a bonus if they could take your luggage from you too! Also, lackluster buffet.

Other than a little plaster peeling in the bathroom this hotel was great. The resturaunt was excellent, and there is a wide ... range of resturaunts within walking distance. Valet parking was pricy and self parking was a short walk and could be costly also.

Beautiful Hotel with expensive valet
B.J. Mar 15, 2008
This hotel is very beautiful and across the street from the local theatre. However, when I arrived it was late at night in a ... city I had never visited before. In situations like that, I usually use the hotel valet. I was amazed when I got the bill for additional fees that there was a charge of $32 for the valet service/parking for 1 night. I would recommend the hotel but warn about high cost of valet/parking.

Everything was great except that you must pay for parking and had to walk a short way off the property to get to it. The ... valet service in front of the hotel was quite expensive so we weren't interested in using it. Room was very nice and service was great. No complaints there. Many restaurants to walk to in the town.
