On the Jersey City waterfront with New York skyline views
Right on the waterfront, all-suite rooms at Doubletree Hotel Jersey City offer views of the Manhattan skyline. Good Jersey City pick - but, no cookies?
We usually stay at the Westin, but the Doubletree was a cheaper option this time around. It was clean, the staff was really nice, and the location was perfect for us. It is very close to the PATH. The Doubletree's signature is delicious, freshly-baked cookies upon check-in. There were no cookies to be found the entire weekend we stayed here. If it's something they advertise, it's probably something they should deliver on.

We had a wonderful time here. The hotel staff were so helpful and helped us with maps, information etc. The hotel is very close to the train station, so NYC is just a hop away. There's a mall close by in case you need something. Overall, it's a great hotel and would definitely stay there again.

nice..but be careful booking
Very nice Hotel located near the Newport PATH station. Room was very clean. The only issue is I booked a room with a King bed and was given a room with a double bed. When I called the front desk to see if they would change they said that I needed to specify King bed on my reservation (which I did). I was then told there were no more rooms available with King beds.

Good choice
For a NYC visit, we stayed in this Jersey City location to save some money. Great solution. The hotel was great. Staff was warm, friendly and so helpful. Location of two blocks from the Path to NYC worked well - and we were 4 women who were inexperienced at train hopping. And the warm chocolate chip cookies on arrival was a nice topper.

NYC at christmas
The hotel was great. It was very easy to get in and out of the city using the path which is about 2 blocks away. It was clean and staff was very friendly. There is also a grocery store and a mall right behind the hotel incase you forget anything.

Would definitely go back...but first....
It was a great stay. So close to the train station and the waterfront (the view of NYC at night is breathtaking), the room was so clean and spacious, the bed was soooo comfortable...BUT, after two days, I requested information on additional charges to my credit card for which I have NO idea what they could be, and I have not received any response. Besides from that, I have to be fair, it is a great hotel to stay in if you want to be close to NYC but not IN it!

Great Location for the City
Everything was great!! The only problem was the parking garage. Very disconnected. Other than that is was very pleasant. Will definately go back.

Getaway to NYC
This place is the perfect hotel to be close from NYC but with accessible rates. It is close from the train to WTC, Newark, and other places. Also it is very close from a mall. I woulpd reserve it again in a future without any doubt

Amazing view - great room!
We chose this hotel for two reasons - it is cheaper than staying in NYC and it promised a view of the Manhattan skyline. We were not disappointed. It is still a pricy hotel - we would never stay more than one night, but awesome for a treat. We had 5 in our party so the separate (extra) room was great. Very clean, large bathroom, lots of space all over. Great bar - my husband and I went for a drink - nice ambiance, staff. All staff was pleasant and helpful. Very soundproof. Very safe area - felt very safe walking with my family late evening. This was a pleasant surprise. Can also travel from NYC on transit, transfer to NJ transit no problem. Now that I know how easy it is, I'll do it again!

Comfortable bed and delicious cookie
Purely business trip on probably the hottest day of the year. Room was nice and cool, bed was comfortable and the cookie was delicious. Would stay again.
