Good hip//cool hotel and price
We booked the hotel with the intent of spending most of our time in NYC. The room, exercise room and staff were great. The hotel is located just 3 short blocks from the PATH train station and the trains run often, especially on weekdays. However, be prepared to wait at the station for at least 10 minutes for the train to NYC on the weekend. Also, the station, trains and area near the hotel are loaded with people at night and helped to make us feel safer as 3 women traveling alone.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
Go for a walk or run along the Hoboken pier area that runs in front of the hotel. Well planned and lovely area with great views of NYC.

The W Hoboken was amazing!!!
The hotel experience was nothing I've ever experienced. We always stay at 5 star hotels when we travel and this was by far the best...from the decor, friendly and helpful staff, to the rooms with amazing views, aroma as soon as you walk in, etc, etc, etc. They really know how to treat their guests. We didn't get a chance to check out there club, but it was packed on new years from what I've seen. My girl and I were mostly in NYC and the path is only bout 5 min way. Overall, it was an amazing experience!!!

New Years Weekend
Went for New Years Weekend. Rooms are acceptable not stand-out. View of NY was great. Hotel staff professional and friendly. Room Service Food 3 Star. Rooms lack the "cool" factor you would expect. The DVD is not Blue-Ray, TV not HD. Practical things lacking i.e chipped tub, lighting all small halogens but makes room dark. Too many service charges every time you turn around. New Years Eve Ball very disappointing... Music REALLY sucked. Stay in Hotel but hit local bars for NYE.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
2 fun sports-bar type restaurants short walk down River street. Can't recall names but one is Tex-Mex on corner and other is New Orleans Style Food. Both great food, great atmosphere for dinner or to watch sports on big screen TV

"WWonder Get-a-way"
American flights were timely in spite of adverse weather and congestion. W Hoboken was a fantastic and featured rotating circular love seat for enjoying the wwonderful views (in the room and the skyline too).

Time-saving tip:
Short drive from hotel
Have the W arrange for car service if traveling to lower Manhattan - first, courtesy and very helpful if formal wear when compared to subway.

The W is for WoW! We felt pampered!
This was by far the best hotel stay we have ever experienced and are planning our return already. The staff at the W went out of thier way in every aspect. We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary in NYC. When we got back to the room at 0200 we found a bottle of Champaign and some chocolate covered cherries with a card saying Happy Anniversary. That for us was the Wow factor.

Great deal
Good location and maintenance. It doesn't make sense to wash outside windows on weekend, but totally it was great deal.
