Scottish Inns & Suites Absecon

This motel was very, very overpriced, quite seedy, and was basically used as a place to sleep and shower and that was it! The place wasn't especially dirty, but carpets could definitely be cleaned! they were quite nasty. Don't especially plan on going back.

For what we paid... we got a little better than expected. The room was clean and they even had a little fridge I could store food in. The bed was okay for comfort level. It was easy to get to, and really for the price... it was more than I expected.

we stayed at the Tropicana one night with a comp then stayed here one night because I didn't want to pay the high prices at the Trop for a Friday night. It was decent for the price. There in no continental breakfast which is advertised. The towels were stained and dingy. It was a non-smoking room but cigarette stains on the counters. The ac worked great! Would probably stay again.

Our stay was very enjoyable. Quiet n very well taken care of. Only thing I would ask would have been softer towels? The ones we used felt rather scratchy but that was the ONLY downside of our visit.

The Scottish Inn was awful. We were trying to save some money by staying off the strip in Atlantic City. We expected this hotel to not be that great. When we walked in we noticed the old, dirty, faded refrigerator, comforter and chair. The worst part was the bathroom. The toilet was sealed after having been "cleaned" when opened we discovered a piece of a [*] wrapper floating, there was a sink with no counter space, the mirror had a light fixture hanging which was missing light bulbs, the shower wasn't cleaned very well it has sticky spots against the walls. A couple that was traveling with us stayed on the second floor. They also got a King size bed for the night just in Non Smoking- they paid the same price yet had extra furniture: a hanging painting, a table with two chairs, a new refrigerator, a counter in the bathroom & even though they had a blow dryer hanging on the wall it wasn't bolted in, it was just resting against the wall. We could have dealt with the cheap tacky room but around 11:30pm there were shady characters wondering around outside our rooms with their shirts off, drinking & they didn't appear to be staying at the hotel. We spent 65 dollars on cabs to get to and from Atlantic City Casinos. Take my advice and take the money you would have spent on cabs, put it towards a room at a nicer Hotel. Don't stay here!

I stayed the Scottish Inn & Suites Absecon with my fiance in a one bedroom with a king bed. There was no non-smoking rooms available so we had to stay in a smoking room. Although it did not seem like there were a lot of customers staying at the inn so I do not see why we could not get the room we preferred. The room wreaked horribly of smoke, I guess that is somewhat unavoidable...The room was not that clean, it was grimy and stained. I was afraid to use the bathroom and the shower, not to even mention sleeping in the bed. The bathroom sink clogged from the tiniest amount of water being used. There were rips in the sheets on the bed and rips on the plastic mattress cover. The thin comforter seemed old, unclean and was extremely itchy. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and we did not sleep well. The chair in the room was falling apart and was ripped. It had all kinds of dirt and trash beneath the cushion. The amount they were charging for the room was ridiculously overpriced for the room I just described. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. My advice is to spring for a pricier room, a little closer to the casinos and city life to avoid this hotel at all costs.

Nice hotel for the price!

Room was ready upon our arrival, the room was clean, quiet and restaurants along the strip. Check-in desk offered take-out menus from the strip restaurants. Sufficient parking, and bus to A.C. directly across the street. Pleasant.

Clean rooms and friendly service. My bed was a bit too firm and uncomfortable.

ENJOYED MY STAY, I WILL RETURN.
