Unprofessional
I'm writing this review as I'm sleeping in room 342. It's a hotel with good potential, but unfortunatly I just had a bad episode. My wife received a phone call from the security guard telling her that we are being loud and that he had received a "couple" of complaints. Now, my family (yes, we are not some rowdy college kids) was talking and surely we would be happy to avoid disturbing others. However, the security guard told her right off the bat and in no uncertain terms that they'll kick us out if we get a second "warning"! I go downstairs and I learn that: 1) there is one complaint by someone who has a flight at 4am; not a "couple" of complaints. 2) that person only stated that we were "a bit" loud but was afraid we would become louder (!) As far as I'm concerned, professionalism in the hospitality business is paramount; hence, the name. Threatening to kick out a family even if they were a bit loud (we were just talking and watching tv; nothing crazy) preemptively (anticipating future behaviour) is definitely not hospitable. My verdict: skip this one; there are many other hotels in this price range that are both professional and family-friendly. Happy new year!

Very pleasantly surprised
I stayed here one night before catching a flight out. I generally don't expect much from hotels that are right by the airport. This was a very pleasant surprise. Great hotel. Bar was nice and food was really good. Nice and fun staff. Room was clean and comfy. You will not be disapointed here.

Easy Access to Newark Airport
So nice and friendly, helpful staff. Room was large and comfy. My first time in NY area so I was very needy and the hotel was very responsive. Room service was delicious. I would definitely stay again if the need arose.

Time-saving tip:
Short drive from hotel
Hotel provides van transportation from Newark Airport, although you have to go up elevators, take an airport train-confusing and troublesome with a cart loaded with luggage-still grateful for the service.

Not a four star hotel
Everything was smooth. My family was there for my fathers funeral. The hotel was ok, but it was not not 4 stars. Very small room, not even a microwave. The shower was without enough water pressure. The commode flushed with a huge bang. People were nice. Would be ok for a three star hotel.

Smoking...
The hotel staff was courteous, the room was cleaned and well kept during our stay, and was very comfortable. Beware of the reservations made online, though. I specifically booked this hotel because the online information said their were smoking rooms, as well as a balcony for every room. Upon arrival, we were told it was a non smoking facility, so we wound up outside, freezing to death, to have a cigarette. I would not have chosen this hotel if I had known this.

Ok but with surprises
(pros) One thing, excellent King size bed.(cons)Three things I did not like:01) When I was in the area and I've called to re-confirm the room and the two double beds because we were with our two teens, the lady in the hotel told me "you are all set" as soon as you come your room will be ready. When we finally arrived to the hotel, a different unfriendly lady told me "sorry the only room available is the one with the King size bed" and after I've told her about the call she said "sorry" then I said I was using [...] and she said "oh yes I know about those really cheap and bad internet reservation services people use"02) The disposition of the things inside the room were weird, the TV too far you can't hear and your neighbors complain.03) Nobody told me the hotel charges $14 dollars per day for parking. If I knew it in advance I could make another choice. The whole idea was to get a good low cost hotel that started in $119 and ended up in $154 with taxes and parking.I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

It could have been better!!!
The room was "fine" : comfortable bed, flat screen tv, refrigerator, etc. The bathroom was not in the best condition. The tub was scuffed and the door of the bathroom was dirty as well. There was an indoor pool which was nice. However, most hotels offer free wi-fi or at the least, access to the internet in the business center free of charge. However, this hotel charged for access to the internet. Overall, my stay was ok. But I dont think it was worth the money. By the way, I forgot to mention that I waited for the airport shuttle for nearly 45 minutes. The satff was unapologetic!!
