Edison Hotel

My stay was perfect! I stayed three night and had no issues at all! I definitely think it is a nice hotel!

The room smelled of mold and mildew. The bathroom had not been cleaned; the sink still had toothpaste in it and hair in the shower stall.

I slept there only. It would have been nicer if the TV remote worked. The linens, although clean, appeared to be somewhat threadbare. The attached restaurant was not something I expected, and although the food was overly plentiful, it was too ethnic and a bit pricey. The Lounge did not adhere to its posted closing time.

Was everything you would want for a short stay hotel. Clean room, helpful staff. Forgot to buy toothpaste and they sent some up at no charge.

The first room they gave me was to an occupied room and I nearly had a heart attack when someone yelled out as I opened the door. Second room was dirty and unprepared. Finally got a passable third room. Room service was unavailable when I arrived starving at 10 PM. ATM didn't work. I want a refund.

we could not follow the directions that were on the web site and got VERY lost. [...], from the front desk, Map Quested our "lost" location and stayed on the phone with us until we arrived at the hotel. When we arrived, we discovered that his shift was up and he remained at the desk for our safe arrival. We offered him a tip for his efforts and he refused saying "That's what I am here for. I am glad we got you here safe and sound". I'd say that goes above and beyond a Front Desk Job!!! The rest of the staff was polite and respectful and helpful throughout our stay as well.

Of all the hotels that I have been staying at over the course of the last month and a half that my commute has forced me to reside in, this was by far the best one. Even though the facility was old, the staff was great and the service was timely. A security guard was even placed in my hall when a group of noisy kids stayed a few doors down from me without my request! The coffee machine, however was not thoroughly cleaned. The prior resident must've misused it because it smeelled like old milk and I am pretty sure you're not supposed to put milk IN the machine. Other than that, I was pleased with my stay.

For the price I paid, it was worth the stay. It was quiet and the staff was cordial. My only complaint was that they did not refill the in room coffee. Stayed four nights and coffee is important to me in the morning.

I will be writing to the Coporate Office of Holiday Inn, as this hotel is trying to pass off, as what is typically a good Name in Holiday Inns. Right off the bat the room was wrong, not what I booked. Once in the room, the TV's speakers did not work. The room was dirty, but that matched the whole hotel, appauling throughout. Brought food back from a nice restaraunt (steak and Ribs), was told it would be safe in the front desk fridge. That was eaten by staff in less than 12 hours. 2 days spent there, and no room cleaning. Called twice for clean towels, and had to go get my own after an hour waiting. Half the ice machines did not work. ATM in hotel was out of order my whole stay. Hotel is in a poor location to any food/entertainment. Overall, my thoughts are..."this can not really be a Hoilday Inn"
