Colts Neck Inn Hotel

Hotel was just OK, room was clean, definately needs updating decor & furniture all old. Bathroom was clean & roomy, however the bathroom sink seemed to have some sort of clog problem, the water took a long time to go down. The girl at the front desk was not knowledgeable about the area at all, we had to go to a church in the area we asked if she know the location she didnt have a clue come to find out it was 1/4 mile down the same road as the hotel.

We went to Colt Neck to be near Ocean Grove which was only 10 miles away. Price was resonable and the room was nice but the cleaning could be better. The night stand was covered with black dirt and the lamp was broken. We requested a coffee pot. When we returned the coffee pot was in our room but then we had to ask for the coffee packs, cups, cream, sugar, etc. ??? The food and drinks next door were WAY overpriced. All in all we would seek another place.

Hotel itself is charming and the rooms are spacious. However, little nuisances caused us to rate it lower, e.g., dirty towel, remote control didn't work, giant dent in the wall, and the table lamp didn't work. All things that can be easily fixed, but all the little things added up versus our expectations.

We were not sure what to expect as far as location and proximity to the shore as well as the hotel itself since it was not part of a chain. However, when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms had all been recently refurbished with new carpeting and Thomasville furniture and the baths were tiled floors with Corian counters and very clean. The area was beautiful as Colts Neck is an affluent area in NJ. The hotel was very quiet and the front desk was helpful with directions to area movie theaters, etc. The shore was very close as was the college we were there to visit. Overall, I would rate this property as an excellent value for the money. The cleanliness is very top priority to our family since my son is ill and there were no issues whatsoever with this hotel. We would highly recommend them and will likely use them in the future if we need to stay in this area again.

This is my third visit to I have stayed at The Colts Neck Inn three times and Enjoyed each visit. Grace and the other employees are friendly and make you feel like a friend, not just a customer. I only have good things to say about the Inn. Do yourself a favor on your next trip and give it a try.

While the hotel is in a great location for access to the NJ Shore, we found it one of the worst experiences we have had in years of travel. My wife noticed the the comforter had dried blood on it. Then so called clean towels were delivered with dry blood on them. The bathroom sink was very slow to drain and it took them three days to fix that. The shower handle jammed for the hot water so we had luke warm showers and they never fixed that. When we arrived we noticed that their sign advertized rooms for $89.00 and our reservation thru Orbitz was for 107.00 per night listed as best price. Other that that our stay really sucked.

Hotel was one of the cheapest in the area. The room itself was OK. The staff was not super friendly but our stay was good overall.

Great, comfortable hotel. Not much surrounding the hotel, but definately worth the money. They had a nice spread of Dunkin' Donuts coffee, muffins, and bagels. The staff was incredibly friendly also.

The atmosphere at the Colts Neck Inn hotel is very peaceful. The room and the bathroom were very clean and the bed had Bloomcraft sheets (very beautiful). The hotel is also in a great location, very close to the beach, within a 10 mile radious. I highly recomend this hotel.
