Great Front desk staff

The front desk staff was trully helpfull and pleasant, but I requested a crib, and the guy that delivered the crib at the room was rude, and he left before assemble it and there was no linens. We received a lot of packages delivered at the hotel and we had no problem with them. The continental breakfast was ok, the breakfast room was clean and the food fresh. The bed was very confortable, the hotel was quiet, the room as clean but bathtub wasn't, and the shower hard to control water temperature, the temperature changed to very hot to cold suddenly. The toillet flush didn't work properly we had to open the lid to make it stop running the water. The overal experience was ok. I would stay there again!

Business Trip

Pros: the shuttle driver... Christian... He was great!!!! Cons: everyday we had to get new keys because ours didn't work. Then after getting up early to set up for a trade show we come back to the room for a quick shower... There's no water. They said we can use another room for the shower and it was clear across the hotel the furthest point from our room. Then we go down to get in the pool and hot tub... There were no towels in the pool room and the freaking hot tub was cold... This was the main reason I booked this hotel was for the pool and hot tub. The manager said he would fix the bill for the inconveniences that we had and he didn't... Very disappointed with this Hoyle... I will never go back there...

Good for a one night stay

Room was great and clean. Breakfast was not considered great.. just average. Hallway stunk badly of some sort of curry or stale food. Staff was nice, although girl who checked us in was a little rude. Other than that, we enjoyed our time and our son loved the pool. May stay again when we go to watch the Jets again next year. Great location for shopping and eating out!

Not at all what we expected

This place is run down. The room was supposed to be 2 king beds but were more like 2 full beds they were comfortable but small. Bathroom is tiny. Way over priced and far from 3.5 -4 stars. The location was good. Check in is 3pm not 1 pm as my reservation stated but hotel accomdated us. Check out is 11am and housekeeping was knocking on the door by 9:15am! Good thing it was for 1 night. I don't think I would stay again, for almost 200/night I expected better.

Family trip to New York

I chose this hotel because of the cost savings compared to nicer hotels closer to and in NYC. My family was on a 2nd floor room. It was clean and adequate and the front desk was responsive to questions. The 2nd floor hallway smelled and my kids didn't like the hallway smell at all. Thankfully, when you got in the room, the smell went away. Breakfast is excellent with a bunch of choices. While the location is fairly good (35-45 minutes by public transit), you have you know what you are doing. That's probably true of NYC in general. On respective days, we used both a bus from the Allwood Park and Ride and a train from the Delawanna station. Don't leave late and expect a parking spot at the Delawanna station. I never used the bus stop on Kingsland Road near the Clifton Commons Park and Ride. I guess you could if you are willing to walk there. I didn't because the Park & Ride parking is limited there and I didn't want to have to walk back to the hotel a night. On that note, I got the feel that the immediate surroundings have a lot of state college students. If I ever come back, I might choose the same hotel in Secaucus but that was more expensive and I wasn't able to switch the reservation at the time I checked. One more thing, getting to the western bound side of the highway from the hotel is a little tricky. I recommend using the hotel exit onto River Road and having a GPS.
