[...]Checked in and found that the Queen Sized bed upgrade that we selected [...] was not available...in fact the motel has NO Queen Sized beds. Room was no-smoking as we requested and a sign posted in the room also stated the room was no smoking. Right next to the sign....an ashtray supplied by the motel. Breakfast, available 6:30 to 9:30 was coffee, orange juice, bagels, muffins and cream cheese. First motel I've been to in a long time where the shower water turns hot or cold when another room is using the water. Walls paper thin. You could clearly hear normal conversation in the next room, water running, toilets flushing etc etc. Curtains don't completely cover the windows and leak light badly. Toilet didn't shut off all night long. Sheets were dirty. So was the floor. Pillows were terrible. We're reasonable and not hard to please however this was not a good experience.

The facilities within the room were pretty basic; no hair dryer, they only offered shampoo and not shampoo and conditioner. The continental breakfast offered 2 choices of juice, coffee (no decaf), bagels, mini-muffins, and mini-danish...that was it.The room needed some re-modeling; one lamp shade was pretty tattered. The bathroom could have used some molding work.[...].We attended a men's barbershop chorus Christmas Show in Trenton...we only stayed the one night.

maybe the best super-cheap hotel ever

Like others have said, this hotel is a little rough around the edges, but we all had a good night's sleep. The room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfy. The rear building we stayed in had a cool cathedral ceiling and a small fridge and microwave.

Nothing Special, but Served the Purpose

We stayed one night during a quick trip to Sesame Place. It was within a reasonable distance to the theme park. I booked it due to the cheap rate and decent reviews. I was a bit nervous upon seeing the outside and the front desk area, but the room itself appeared updated and fairly clean (i can be picky about these things). Before mentioning a few negatives, I want to state that I'd recommend the place for those who need a place to crash and don't require anything special like a pool or fitness club. The room had a fridge and microwave, but no hair dryer or alarm clock. And the window shade wouldn't close all the way at the bottom so I had to clip it shut with one of those hangers with the clips on them so we could have some privacy. Some of the lights did not work and probably just needed new bulbs. Overall, these weren't really problematic, but just wanted to point them out. The only really annoying thing was the door to the stairwell banged shut fairly loudly which was annoying when a bunch of folks came in from a wedding shortly after midnight. There was plentiful free parking and the area appeared safe. We did not try the free breakfast. There are several restaurants nearby and several places that will deliver.

Where are the renovations??

I had to have my key card re=programmed 3 times. I had my 3 kids travelling w/me and only had 2 towels in the room. Outlets were falling out of the wall. The AC did NOT keep the room clean at all. The continental breakfast was: coffee, bagels, orange or cranberry juice. No apple juice or milk no tea. It was not kid friendly and the lobby only holds 12 ppl. The lobby was renovated, but not the rest of the hotel. It was adequate just to sleep in, nothing else. I was also told they had wireless internet.....NOT....I will NOT be using this hotel again.

OK if you're not picky. . . .

This was a "low budget" hotel. Pretty much OK, but a bit ragged around the edges. Room was clean, didn't stink of smoke or God Only Knows What. Location: OK. Not the Riveria :-) but not scary either. There were a couple of decent eateries near-by (walking distance) and other places within a short drive. Noise Level: Exceptionally quiet. Usually in the low-end range of motels, you expect truck noises, traffic, etc. This place was pretty darn quiet. What was good: Room was clean - beds were comfortable. Bathroom was OK. They included a small microwave and 'fridge in the room which was handy for keeping the sodas for the return trip cold. What wasn't good: There was obviously some "deferred mantanence" going on - I wouldn't say "shabby", but the place could have used a good sprucing-up. A little bit of paint, spackle, and caulking goes a long way. Client guidance signage could be improved. For example, it was a real challenge to find the ice-machine. Rating: (scale of 1 to 10) - I would give it a five. The place lost points due to the need for sprucing up and maintanence - but gained points back for quality of sleep and quiet location. What say ye?

Not so newly renovated, and not so clean

It seemed as if the check in had problems. He seemed not to know what to do with my Orbitz reservation. It took over 20 minutes to go through the process. I am not sure what the problem was because he didn't really talk, and did not really answer questions. There was a very odd, and very strong smell, in the hallways and in the rooms. It was so strong that when I got home my dogs were afraid of my bags. The towels were stained and old, they felt like brillow pads while you were drying off because they were so pilled. I didn't use the wash rags that should have been white, but were stained to a brown color, because they were so unappealing in that condition. I also can't stand when a hotel does not use a fitted sheet for the mattress on the bed, instead tucking in a regular sheet around the edges. Within minutes the sheet had pulled off and I was sleeping on bare, uncomfortable mattress. I have stayed in many Motel 6's, Econo Lodges and other budget hotels. When they take the time to take care of their hotel you are very happy that you didn't spend 2 or 3 times more for higher end accommodations. I was not happy with this hotel. In honesty, this place was not worth $85 a night in the condition it was in.
