Our room in the new Chairman Tower was well appointed, clean, with a great view of the Atlantic. The staff was extremely ... friendly and very helpful. This is one of the best hotels we've stayed in, in Atlantic City.

The Donald failed. He's Fired!!!
Jim Oct 2, 2009
[...]When we finally did get a room it was in disrepair. The lamps were broken in the room, there were no snacks in the ... machine at the refreshment room. After putting the do not disturb sign on the door, the maids banged on our door at 9:00 am, wanting to clean the room. Donald, YOU'RE FIRED. All in all not a good experience.

First time in AC, Taj Mahal was nice
Teri Sep 21, 2009
I really can't complain too much about the hotel or the room. It was nice. I had expected a little more out of Trump, ... especially with the details like we only had one small garbage can in the room and our tv didn't really work, and I expected some fancy shampoo and conditioner and I am pretty sure it was some cheap drug store brand that he slapped his name on. We didn't go into the rooms of any of the other hotels, but from what we could see going into the casinos and bars, all the hotels are comparable. I don't think I would stay here again because of the price. Also be aware, if you self park, parking is free in their parking lot but you have to check into the room first or they will charge you $5.

Great hotel. Hotel room was clean, and spacious. Bathrooms were roomy and clean. Loved the decorations throughout the room. ... The staff throughtout the hotel was helpful and friendly. The night club was nice but drinks were a little pricey.

1-Go to the outlets to do your shopping. The area around this casino leaves much to be desired for. So take the short trip and go to the outlets. 2-There is some construction on the roads going to AC. So be prepared, especially if you leave on the weekends or during rush hour.

glad it was only one night
Landshark Aug 26, 2009
Needed a room for one night since we were in town for a concert. Check in was quick and friendly. our room was just serviced ... as we arrived and we found food on the floor (looked like french fries and part of a burger). After shaving it took hours for the sink to drain, not a nice site. There was no outdoor pool at this "resort" hotel/casino. The sun deck was on a roof near the air conditioning equipment. There were two hot tubs that were "residential" type units (fits 4 very cozy!). No beach access from this location, you needed to walk through the casino or convention floor. One restroom on the casino floor was disgusting with a pungent odor, no area looked clean (did notice the attendant on a cell phone outside the entrance). I did not have high expectations and since we were only there one night (actually only hours) we did not waste the time to complain...but never again, not as a patron or a guest.

Our trip to the Taj Mahal
Mike Aug 25, 2009
We gambled, walked the boardwalk, swam in the pool and ate good food. The Trump Taj Mahal was great. However, I'm very ... unhappy with my reservation experience with Orbitz. My wife and I tried to check in at the Trump Taj Mahal aand Orbitz hadn't reserved our room for us. We had to wait more than 1 hour to get our room, and then Trump took a credit authorization of $249 additionally because the reservation didn't go through. They will refund the $249 after 72 hours but we didn't know they would do this and now our credit card overdrew. So, because of Orbitz, we waited over an hour in the lobby and overdrew our credit card too. I wrote to Orbitz, who wrote me back a boilerplate email that I have to call their Customer Service number to talk to a customer representative. The last thing I want to do is wait on the phone and waste time waiting to talk to someone who won't do anything for me. Next time, I'll think twice about using Orbitz.

Don't Expect Them to Care
Young Wife Planning to Visit 50 States Aug 24, 2009
Parking was jacked up from when I initially called because of an air show. They don't tell you about the additional fee ... until you arrive. Bathtub was dirty. Check in took forever because I booked on Orbitz. The man at the front desk had to call someone in order to find my reservation. He said Orbitz reservations aren't in the same system, and they take 10-15 minutes to locate. After complaining about everything that was wrong, he gave us a room with an ocean view. It was nice, but it didn't make up for the inconvenience. THE WALK FROM THE PARKING TO THE ROOMS TOOK FOREVER. Easy to get lost... bad signage throughout the hotel. Several places to eat were not open for dinner on the nights we stayed. This would be a good place to go for a couple of days... but it's way too fast paced to only stay for a night or even two. We had a much more enjoyable time staying at the Hilton in Manchester, NH two weeks ago. :(

If you take the "taxi" down the boardwalk, then ask the man pushing the basket, "How much to get back to the Taj?" First he said ten, and I said no. He said how about eight? I said no, and he said for the two of you I'll do it for five. We decided for the walk, but if you do want to enjoy that experience, NEVER pay the first price they tell you!!!!
