The room was just as described. It was clean and both the heating and air conditioned worked perfectly. The beds were comfortable and the location was superb. The restaurant in the lobby makes the best food, its is definitely worth the wait on line.

Fun

Hotel was located right in the middle of a great time. Had shops, bars and restaurants both inside the hotel and outside. Rooms were clean but mattresses could have been a bit more comfy for a four star hotel. Still, would recommend with high praise.

Nice time

I was taken aback upon entering my room. It was simply beautiful! The only setback was that the room could have been a little cleaner. The toilet had a ring in it and the windows were filthy (obstructing my wonderful view). Otherwise, my stay was wonderful and I would stay here again, and again.

Absolutely Horrible.

So we check in at 4 P.M., and we leave two hours later even though we were scheduled for a FIVE WEEK stay. We get there check-in and our keys don't work. Went back to the check-in desk twice to fix our dysfunctional keys. Security had to let us in twice because ours keys to the rooms simply did not work. Our stuff gets sent up via the bell man every thing is fine whatever. We go to our room with an "ocean view", which we paid extra for and half of the view is of the pier jutting out to the water. Fine whatever. We don't have cash to pay the valet service so we go to the ATM but have to do a cash advance but have to go to the casino to get the money for some reason. Well the lady there DOESN'T speak english and clearly didn't know what to do... That took 30 minutes to withdrawal a 20. Then when we go to pay for the valet service our car is waiting out front. We go to the car and sort through our bills to tip the valet but instead he is impatient walks away and threatens us. He said,"I don't work for free" (even though he gets paid an hourly wage) and then threatened us walking away saying,"Just wait until this car comes back and see what happens." We left as soon as we came back. Talked to the front desk and sure as heck checked out. At the end we had to pay $50 dollars plus a luxury tax bringing to $67 dollars for leaving early. The manager did not say anything to the employee that threatened us and just let it be. Not an,"I'm sorry your stay was pleasant." or anything at all. And unless you like Casinos and the hustle and bustle of a city that focuses solely on casinos, consider Ocean City or Brigantine instead. Much more relaxing.

3 days in AC - not so fantastic

This hotel is understaffed and the hotel side of the business is long forgotten (the casino and the dining area were OK). Some of the rooms are like a time capsule; they were great in the 80’s, looked OK in the 90’s, and now they are used, abused, and forgotten. During my stay I stayed in 3 rooms (not by choice). First night I got a room upgrade (Great right?), I got the Presidential suite on the 36th floor. Great views, Jacuzzi in the room, 5 TVs, etc, but… The Jacuzzi only worked if you kicked it (literally I had to kick the side where the engine was and it would start again), the carpet was definitely original (20 years old by my estimate), the fridge was barely working and slightly leaking, the doors to the rooms (there were 2 rooms) looked like the doors in my neighbor’s tool shack, and the light switches were all messed up or not working. Even though stuff was a bit worn in this room it was an upgrade, and I appreciated that fact. The next day I had to move out. That is where my trip took a dive. It took the front desk 5 hours to find me a room, and the bellman took additional 95 minutes to help me move. And they moved me to the East Tower accessible only by an escalator, so if you have any kind of wheels on you forget it. The elevators in the East Tower are terrible. The key readers do not work, the doors literally were vomited on and never washed, the carpet in the elevator looked like someone spilled some motor oil on them. I stayed on the 4th floor that night. The hall smells like someone died there. My room had a leaky toilet and a repairman greeted me as I was walking in. He was a nice guy, but never the less I rather be alone in my room then to wait for someone to fix my toilet. Then I sat on my bed and it collapsed. Yes the base of the bed just disintegrated, and I am way below 200 pounds, so it was not my fat behind that did it. I called the front desk and they did not know what to do. I said, don’t worry I will be OK for the night, give me something different in the morning. But I wan’t as the carpenter or another repairman called me at 12:30AM to see if he can come up and repair my the bed. I was already sleeping!!! The next day I got another room and this time I stayed again in the East Tower but on the 18th floor. This time no surprises there, and the bed stayed in one piece. All in the only thing going for this hotel is the location, but this hotel should be immediately renamed, de-stared and renovated.

Trump Plaza

Went to Atlantic City for a concert. Check in at the Trump Plaza Hotel was fast and efficient. Staff was very pleasant. Hotel itself needs a little work/updating. Worn, torn and old carpets in public areas. Bedroom was a very nice size and the view of the ocean was a plus. Rug had a huge red stain near the nightstand, but other than that it was clean and comfortable. Room decor also needed some updating. In comparison to the other casinos, the Trump casino had a very stale odor and the air conditioning was minimal. Have stayed at other casinos and not sure the dollar value was worth it.

Thoughts

We unexpectedly got upgraded to a 1 br 1 and a half bath suite. The size was great. There was blonde hair strands on the sink faucet so that was def a turn off, but the location of the hotel was awesome. The room we got upgraded to was also a smoking room which kinda stunk (literally), but other than that everything was nice. Shower was beatutiful, french doors led into the br, wet bar and living room area. No ocean view but the view on the city that high up was still nice. I'd stay there again.

It was ok

Arrived Friday night to spend my 31st birthday with my girls. The woman at the desk was extremely nice however the room keys didn't work. Security had to let us in the following day and when we went to the front desk to swap keys the woman was extremely rude. The manager fixed everything and we enjoyed the rest of our stay. Also the the AC in our room didn't work!

Very Disappointing

I called ahead of time to see if there was early check in available and was told yes. After we carried our bags all the way to the hotel they told me I had to wait at least two hours. I was on the 18th floor and could hear the music blasting from the beach until 2a.m. There was a pool that was outside and about the size of my room for two towers of 20 floors. As if that would be big enough for all of the people there. The security at the casion gave me a hard time about walking from their parking deck through the casion to get to the lobby because I had a child with me. I really expected something more from this hotel.
