No comfort in the bed

I know going to Atlantic City means that you are not doing much sleeping but once I did hit the bed it sure didn't make up for not winning in the casino. It was the worst mattress I have slept on in a long time! Everything else was ok.

USER UNFRIENDY

Forget about staying at the Tropicana in AC if you have any sort of mobility issues. Some rooms are like 10 miles from the reception desk and there are no scooters. On the other hand, if you have money to burn, you can dish out 14 dollars for a cup of expresso coffee at their so-called upscale deli. Not that your quarters will be first-class, though. My suite on the the 6th floor featured a faded rug with what appeared to be excrement stains plus a rinky-dink analog TV.. You're only supposed to pay a one-time valet fee if you stay several days but the attendants will want documentation or else charge you again. And you're unlikely to win a dime playing their tight slots.

Great time in AC!

Attended a conference in AC; however, my company would only cover rooms at the hotel hosting the conference. Wanting to stay closer to the beach, I began my search for a room. In the end I chose the Trop due to its location on the boardwalk, proximity to the convention & value. I stayed alone but there was plenty of room for two to stay comfortably. The room was clean and there were plenty of towels and amenities. My room was in the Havana tower located right near the restaurants & stores. During my stay I went to A few of the restaurants & bars located in the hotel. Great time to be had at each. My only complaint was that the outdoor pool was temporarily closed for maintinence, but nothing to be done about that. While I'd like to experience some of the other hotels in the future, I would definitely stay at the Trop again.
