Atlantic City's BEST!!

Had a great stay in Atlantic City at the Tropicana Hotel. The Hotel is by far the most fun because it has a built in "community" of shops similar to those large casinos in Vegas. The staff was really friendly and helpful. On the first night, we heard a lot of noise on our floor due to wild college kids having fun. (I can't blame them) The hotel quickly arranged a new room for us. Everything you need is at this hotel with waterfront view. Ok, the slots were really tight but...overall, we loved this vacation spot which is less than one mile from the factory outlets. These outlets are amazing but outdoors, so get ready to walk and enjoy the scenery.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Not all restaurants are opened during off season, so make sure to google and call before hand. Many restaurants all over Atlantic City and within the Tropicana resort as well.

Pretty Descent for The Price

We stayed 1 night. We were able to check in 2 hours early then the stated check-in. Which was very nice after a long drive. Plenty of towels.Rooms were clean. Bathroom was very clean. Nothing fancy about the room. It was just what we needed for the night. Food was expensive but, expected. We were able to get something to eat from a store in the quarters at 2:00 am (cold sandwich, Veggies, crakers, snacks, cheeses etc.. There was a open food bar but, that didn't look very good at all, Food looked to be sitting out a long time (that was at 2:00 am) Over all nice time. Would stay again.

Clean Rooms

The Tropicana is convenietly located on the Boardwalk. Parking was easy but suggest that you used valet parking. The room was large and the beds/linen were comfortable. Bath/vanity area are separate and there is ample room in closet and sleeping area. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Atlantic City Base

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious enough to add a roll away. The beds were comfortable as well. The hotel is huge so there is alot of walking involved, but if you don't mind, it's a great Atlantic City location. There is good shopping and some interesting restaurants. Lots of choices. The shower and toilet is seperate from the vanity area, so it is an easy room to share. It was right on the boardwalk, and near many other casinos if you feel the need to go somewhere else. The beach in front of the hotel seemed nice as well.

elevator service

This was a fantastic hotel, however, we had to wait almost 20-25 minutes for an elevator every time we wanted to go to our room. We can't understand why the wait was so long. I wish there would have been a small refigerator and coffee pot in the room, and less pricey eating facilities for a quick bite. One other suggestion, based on the size of this resort, would be to have a map printed out in flyer type that could be carried with you so that you can easily find the areas that you are looking for. Other than that, it was a fantastic time.
