Just what we needed
My wife and I decided to end our summer with a trip to Atlantic City. The Trop had been recommended as a fun place to be for a young couple. We were very happy with our room. We were able to smoke, we had an ocean view, and a jacuzzi. We will be back!!

Great Deal
We booked in response to a Labor Day promotion and were excited to get a free upgrade to an ocean view suite. The room was clean and the view was awesome. The bars and restaurants in the hotel are all wonderful and the beach was nice and unlike many beaches in NJ, it was free!

Employee's ability to meet guest needs.
On check in I requested for a room along the boardwalk with an an ocean view. She told me the room she gave me had a partial view of the ocean. The room was on the 8th floor, dark with a view to a roof top. I went back to the same lady who told me if I needed a room that I wanted, it cost me $30.00 more. I told the lady I was a guest at Tropicana last year and got a room over the boardwalk. I did'nt pay any thing extra for that room. She finally moved me to WT #4816. This room had a partial view of the ocean. However I was warned the "room change" was final.

Weekend Trip
Hotel was very nice with several things to keep you busy. My only issues were the intermittent wifi which needed to be reset several times and bed was rock hard. Hotel is towards the end of the board walk but not an issue for myself as I knew this going in. Would stay here again. (Havana Tower)

Started Out OK....but
Check in and check out was great, very quick. Room was spotless, no ordors, bathrrom spotless but... little by little things deteriorated. Bathroom door was swollen , so it wouldn't close all the way (which could be a little embarrassing. Went to use the ironing board and as soon as I leaned on it, it collapsed causing me to drop the hot iron. This was replaced immediately by the cleaning staff. The only other problem was that the room felt very damp as soon as we left the ac on while we were out and the bed sheets felt like they were damp. There was mold on the ceiling by the ac vent. We woke up each morning with nasal irritation. Overall the place was very lively and there was something to do all the time. Food place were open very late which was a plus. This was my first stay in the Tropicana, would go back ut would definitely coplain to the management regarding the mold.

Family getaway
Got room changed after first night---heard service elevator moving 24 hours a day., bathroom light and coffee maker did not work.. Also waiting 20 minutes for elevator in West Tower no fun, especially when staying on 48th floor so move to South Tower and 9th floor was better, even if room view was compromised.
