a mini vacation spot in a large resort

The Resorts Hotel and Casino was a fantastic place to stay. From the minute we checked in til the minute we left, it was a great stay. We stayed in the HAVANA TOWER and it was as if you were in Cuba!!! The restaurants and the shopping was so nice. Everybody treated us great. The Casino was very clean as was the entire hotel. I would recomend this hotel to any one who asks...

First time at Tropicana

This was the first time I have stayed in Atlantic City and I was completely impressed by the hotel staff. It was not the best drive getting there (which is a long story) but the checkin staff was very pleasant and helpfull and even offered a free upgrade, which I would not count on every time :) She was both courteous and friendly and the suite was very clean. Also, the staff at the Salon was friendly and performed professionally. I would definitely recommend the Tropicana to my friends.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Everything you could possibly want was nearby. There were restaraunts, night clubs and shopping in the building complex so during the major thunderstorm that hit, there were still plenty of activities without leaving the building. Also, direct access to the beach and boardwalk was a plus.

Great service, had a blast on my 21st birthday!

For my 21st birthday I stayed at the Tropicana with a friend. The room also had a fridge, which was a bonus! I liked the atmosphere very much; however, I had two complaints: 1. the elevators took forever!! We waited 15 minutes once to get to the game floor. Also, there was only one cocktail waitress in the smoking section of the slot machines - I tried to get her attention and she put her hand right in front of my face! So, getting drinks was difficult (and I'm not a cheap tipper)! Since we were on the boardwalk we walked over to Trump, which is cool because you have access to many casinos in walking distance. Overall, I will stay at the Tropicana again - the hotel was very nice, the pros outweigh the cons!

Friendly overall

The Tropicana was really quite nice with the only compaint being that the room temperature was so cold we could almost see our breath and no easy way to adjust.Calling wasn't an option as it would cost a dollar per call and although that sounds cheap, calling for assistance should not be a fee. The entire facility was beautiful and within easy access of shopping and many restaurants.I would and have recomended this to a friend

elevator service

This was a fantastic hotel, however, we had to wait almost 20-25 minutes for an elevator every time we wanted to go to our room. We can't understand why the wait was so long. I wish there would have been a small refigerator and coffee pot in the room, and less pricey eating facilities for a quick bite. One other suggestion, based on the size of this resort, would be to have a map printed out in flyer type that could be carried with you so that you can easily find the areas that you are looking for. Other than that, it was a fantastic time.
