Bachelorette Weekend

Check in was relatively simple. Room was nice and clean. Walls here are paper thin though, sounded like there was a frat party on each side of our room and this went on well after 5am. Getting downstairs to check out and head home was a nightmare. It took us 40 minutes from the room to the parking garage. We were also hassled by a local in the garage as well. I'd advise leaving prior to check-out to avoid the crowds of 20+ people all waiting for the elevator leaving the room and then in the parking garage. This room was also very expensive for a three start hotel in a less than desirable neighborhood.

Fine for bachelor party overnight

The hotel was fine, nothing terrible, but not as nice as other casinos nearby. Was fine for me and my buddies, I do not think my wife would have liked it however. If you can get a good deal, go for it. Otherwise, take a pass.

birthday getaway

It was mt sister's birthday so we enjoyed the entertainment, the food, casino etc. we enjoyed not having to leave the casino and hotel for anything. the only complaint I have is checking in. the representattive was very nice but I didnot like that I booked the type of room I wanted which was simply doublw beds and was told that I am not guaranteed to get what I booked when I come to check in. so I ask why book when you serve first come first serve?

valet and unexpected charges

When i arrived at the hotel i pulled into the hotels Valet area and a man who was working there stated that valet was full and i could park in self parking?? i had no clue of where to go so i called the hotel and was transferred about 3 times until someone picked up and said to park in self parking.... i found it. finally i parked and found a elevator. I had to drag all 3 of my bags through the garage and into the hotel. i checked in at the havanah tower and was given a room key. (my room was paid in full). needless to say the neighbors were loud but hey its a vacation so that wasnt too bad. I come home and balance my check book to find the hotel has charged me a additional 100$. i called and the lady on the phone states that they hold 100 deposit. I was not told that . she stated i will be refunded 80.00 of that becasue there is a additional 20 fee? i already paid this i stated and she apologized and stated they are still going to take the additional money. so now im waiting on a refund that can take up to ten days that i wasnt aware i was even being charged.... I am very disatisified and wouldnt stay there again.

Gotta love The Trop, best value in AC!!

I always have a good time at the Tropicana, its the best deal in AC. It may not be as plush as Revel, or Borgotta but for the price this Beach Front Hotel is well worth it. Plus the best club is in the upstairs of the mall section of the Tropicana called the Quarter, which is a New Orleans styled mall. All in all The Tropicana is the best buy in AC, have fun for me if your there!
