Unfortunately i stAyed on labor day weekend at this place and it had potential but i paid $220 for one night and the lights didn't work and there was no refrigerator or microwave and this was a 79.99 a night type of place. It was like staying at a super 8. Did the job n had fun but we only used the room to dress n sleep thank God. 79.99 VERY REASONABLE for this place...220$...heck no

Convenient

I stayed for only 1 day, right before the Labor Day Holiday. The hotel provided a shuttle bus to the boardwalk, had a decent pool and was reasonably priced (for a weekend visit). I would stay again.

Roughing it

Pool has garden chairs only so you can't lay out. Water is dirty. Room while big is very old. Carpet patched up with mismatched squares. Small tube TV. No window curtains/treatments. Only venetian blinds, with missing panels so it's very bright in the mornings. I didn't shower, and didn't walk on the floor barefoot.

Not as advertised

The best thing we can state about this hotel is "thank you for giving us SOME of our money back." The first room was full of mold/mildew causing my wife's asthma to act up. The fact that taking a smoking room was a "step up" says it all. The front desk staff gets a thumbs up because of their ability to resolve issues. However, it was frustrating to move in to a room that wasn't cleaned prior to our switch #bed was just made up#, and the fact that our "do not disturb" sign was completely ignored on a daily basis. We were advised that this hotel is under new management. Maybe it will improve.

It's all about value.

Needed a place for overnight due to a wedding we attended and didn't want to pay the exhorbitant rates at the casino hotels or the "higher end" places. While this Travelodge wasn't the "Taj" it did have a very friendly attentive staff, clean bed-linens and bathroom. The furniture and walls were worn and scuffed, the ceiling paint was peeling but we had a beautiful view out our window. The continental breakfast was the usual stuff, which was replenished regularly and served in a pleasant spacious area off the lobby.

Nice Place to Stay for the Money

We were greeted at the front desk by very friendly and accommodating staff. We were let into our room before check in time because we were early. The room was basic but very clean and had a safe and a microwave. It was only a 5 minute drive to the AC strip which was nice. The breakfast was cereal, pastries and bagels which was more than sufficient for our needs. I would recommend this hotel for a nice, cheap stay close to the boardwalk.

Off the main strip...

I thought I would be better off saving money by staying off the main strip but it turned out to be a pain in the butt. Getting from hotel to the boardwalk was a nightmare. The free shuttle the hotel offered was unreliable, undependable and showed up late and so full of people that we were told to wait. We eventually had to walk out to the highway and flag a bus down. Getting a cab or shuttle from that far out is a joke and I would not recommend it. Getting back was a $30 cab ride. The wireless internet in the hotel did not work, and had not been working for at least a week ahead of my stay, I called in advance to see what that was all about. So, they can't get Comcast to fix it in less than a week? Front desk didn't appear to be so bright. After I received my keys to my room I had to ask how to get there. The place is pretty big and you would think that the front desk would at least say which way my room was, not there. Next time I'll pay more and just stay on the strip and enjoy my trip instead of spending a lot of time and energy getting there and back to the hotel. The room was ok, nothing to write home about.

Entertainment tip: Short drive from hotel

Ended up paying for a cab to get home from the strip because the shuttle down there was such a disaster, so add $30 for cab fare each way to your planned expenses.
