Enjoyable experience
Loved the Johnny Rockets restaurant and House of Blues was fantastic! Casino staff was great, hotel staff not as much. Rooms needed updating, and were a little dirty.

alright but not special
checking in and out was a easy for me with little wait althought I did notice many people coming in and having a long wait. the room was clean for the most part but one of my beds had no pillow cases on the bed. the buffet was about what you would expect for a casino my server was excellent though quick to refill my soda and grateful for a 20% tip because it was buffet. The desserts were awful except the handdipped icecream. I ate breakfast at johnny rockets in the hotel I was there early the place was empty but they still made me feel rushed plus ordering before your seated is just a bad idea i felt like if i had wanted dessert i would be putting them out. the canal sandwich shop was not as good as the sandwich shop at resorts pool was ok the hotel was just plain average for a few dollars more i would recommend ceasars same company but friendly staff nicer hotel better location. showboat was just to far upthe boardwalk to be able to walk to the other end of the boardwalk. And for those of you interested in the casino I dropped about 500 in the slots and didnt really have any good scores the machines seem old compared to the machines at the newer casinos in deleware,PA,MD,WV. dealers at the table games were all professional but not lucky for me.Oh if you have kids and are there for the beach its very kid friendly even when the kids wondered onto the casino floor the staff were polite in telling them they werent aloowed.the young ones all seemed to enjoy the dinoshore exhibit too.

Mixed Experiences
We stayed here last summer and upgraded to a suite that was perfect for a family of 6. The hotel is right on the boardwalk near the steel pier which has a carnival at night and you can walk to dozens of restaurants, shops and the beach. So when we asked the kids where they wanted to go this summer they didn't hesitate to say, "Showboat!" Unfortunately we didn't have nearly the experience we had last summer. When we checked in they took us to a House of Blues suite, not the same suite we had last summer. It was a cool room but there was only one king bed and none of the couches opened into beds for the kids. I went back to the front desk and asked if we could have the other type of suite or even just two ajoining rooms and was told no. I asked if they could roll a couple of cots in and they said no because the floors are wood. I asked if I could talk to a manager and was again told no. This was upsetting because we paid a lot of money for this room, but we decided to try to make the best of it. I called housekeeping that night and asked for extra blankets and pillows was was told they "ran out." Same thing for extra towels. Call me crazy but this is a hotel, right? So we all crammed into the one bed (not cozy). The next day I called housekeeping earlier and did get extras and then kept them in the closets so they wouldn't take them away. We decided to head to the beach only to find that the beach was closed right there (drudging sand)so we had to walk way down the boardwalk to get on. There was no coffeemaker in the room but there is a Starbucks in the lobby. The people were generally friendly and the boardwalk is beautiful, I just wish we would have stayed somewhere else this time.

OneNightStaying
Think Twice Before Booking
Just came back from Atlantic City and had a bad experience staying at Showboat. First of all, the furniture is "old". Secondly, the shower head is very "outdated" plus not too much of hot water coming out from it. Last, I was "luckily" enough to share the same floor with other "loud" and "rude" hotel guests who were shouting and kicking the room door after midnight. I was very surprised that there was no hotel security or housekeeper came to keep them down. So, think twice before making your reservation.
