A good get away after the surgery

I came to this hotel right after I had the knee surgery. Everybody were lovely there. The room was good but not everything I needed was there like iron for example or the remote control didn't work. I enjoyed the buffet and the atmosphere. I do recommend to stay there because it is my expensive and great things you can do there like playing casino or sitting on a bar.

Can't Recommend this Hotel

Parking: attendant advised that our $10 parking fee would be credited to the cost of the hotel since we were staying there. Not the case. The room was next to the elevators, so had to get it changed due to the noise. This room was supposed to be "non-smoking", but smelled of smoke and the chemicals they use to cover it up. We booked a king room, but when we went to change it, they would only give us one with two beds. The hotel misrepresents the cost of the room per night because they add an additional $10.00 for "hotel charges". What are they? Bottom line; by the time you add up the room rate, hotel charges, taxes and fees, and parking, a $71.42 room ends up costing $102.03. It's still reasonable, but we wouldn't stay there again.

A decent hotel and casino

Overall positive. The staff was pleasant, the room was clean with nice amenities. The "hurricane" mixed drinks are not for the alcohol lightweight. Only negatives was the room service food and the buffet. The room service food was bland and the buffet was way too expensive for basic cafeteria food.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

If you love Italian food you have to go to Casa Di Napoli restaurant in the Showboat hotel. Excellent food, very pleasant wait staff, lovely decor. It was the best part of the trip.

It's good!

I took a trip to Atlantic City, NJ on 3/15 & 3/16, and made a reservation with this website, which I found good deals that other websites didn't offer. I took the 3 hour bus to AC, and than took another shuttle to the Hotel. The room is pretty clean and nice, and you can choose either smoking or non-smoking room. The front-desk stuffs are very nice, too. They always ask if you need something else during the check-in and check-out. Overall I had a very nice trip, and a good sleep in the hotel, too!
