Distrito Cantina
We've all been there before, well into a long night of epic celebration when it hits: the suddenly crucial need for food, now. Good hotel but hit or miss service by staff

Good it is just hit or miss on the staff knowledge of hotel services. Had a bottle of wine I needed open and one staff member behind the desk told me to go to the gift shop which I originally thought that's not right that they make you pay for a simple wine opener and second of all that I have to spend more time looking for this. Went to the gift shop with no luck. Couldn't hav the wine that night which was disappointing. Tried again asking the next night and staff member had no problem getting it and sending it up to the room. After all they have several bars on the property. Otherwise oter than this the experience was great, it is the newest hotel so everything was updated clean and new. Would definitely return despite being all the way at the end of the boardwalk.

Up-Scale Resort Feel

This was our second time at Revel and we have been recommending staying here to our friends and family. The only reason it did not receive 5 stars across the board was because the Revel management still needs to pay attention to some details that gives the customer an inconsistent experience. For example, why is it impossible to get breakfast/brunch/lunch with a la carte table service and a white water view at the same time. The explanation that a buffet (and one below the standards of the rest of Revel) is done to save costs for the hotel seems illogical for the type of environment Revel successfully establishes. Oh and where are the bathrobes?!?!

Fantastic for families and couples

Very difficult to get to the casino from hotel room. Also, the location of the hotel is not ideal. At the very end of the strip.

Would stay again

Revel is an odd duck... they layout is terrible. If you're a gambler that's actually staying at the hotel, the location of the casino floor is simply inconvenient. As with the good casinos in Vegas (and even in AC), the elevators from the rooms should provide direct access to the casino floor. It takes entirely way too long to get there from the rooms. The casino itself is pretty good, plenty of craps tables, solid amount of blackjack and other table games, etc. The food offerings are awesome, as most of them are provided by Garces. The rooms themselves are spacious and nice, if not a bit ordinary (for the Ocean King). Great bathroom size, meh water pressure. If the layout wasn't so annoying this would be a much better casino.

Met high expectations

My wife and I wanted to get away for a weekend, and the weather in NYC was expected to be cold and wet. We booked two nights at the Revel, not knowing much except that we could stay inside if we wanted to and other reviews and information had suggested it would be both high-end and fun. It met all of those expectations - the room was fantastic, the property spotless, the restaurants (especially Azure, where we ate Saturday night) gorgeous and delicious, and the experience overall generally both fun and pleasant. The staff was great in every encounter. We will definitely go back. ian

Romantic evening away from the kids

My wife and I stayed for just 1 night as a date night away from the kids. $5 parking for entire stay was great (although maybe that's normal for Atlantic City?). Hotel is a large resort with lots of dining options and sitting/lounging areas -- both indoor and outdoor. We ate dinner at Amada (tapas), which was fantastic. We're not big gamblers, but we did dabble on the slots and some blackjack tables, and we appreciated that the casino was generally non-smoking. Room was on a high floor with a great view of the ocean, and it had a nice bathroom and modern decor. Outdoor pool area was very nice although fairly crowded and very breezy. Neat that could swim through to indoor pool, too. Had breakfast at Relish (diner), which was just fair (waffles).

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

The White House is a great old-school, casual sandwich shop where you can get amazing subs/hoagies and cheesesteaks -- not to be missed. The hotel has some amazing dining options for dinner, but check out the White House for lunch.
