The largest standard guest rooms at Atlantic City's first casino

The first and oldest casino in Atlantic City, Resorts Atlantic City opened in 1978 and recently added the Rendezvous Tower with new guest rooms. Its Boardwalk location is a short walk to the rides and arcade on the piers. On the third floor, a retractable glass roof reveals a heated indoor/outdoor pool and party-sized hot tub, free to guests. Stretch out for a suntan on the ocean-view sundeck. A casino, two theaters, a handful of restaurants and a 24-hour cocktail lounge keep choices varied but not overwhelming.

Highlights
  • Largest standard guest rooms in Atlantic City inside the new Rendezvous Tower
  • Boogie Nights weekend dance club with a 70s and 80s theme holds three 2010 Atlantic City Nightlife Awards
  • Free indoor/outdoor pool with retractable glass roof
  • Spa, salon, and health club (fees apply)
Rooms

Dating to the hotel's beginnings, Ocean Tower rooms have simple, light wood furnishings, bright bed coverings and oversized showers. Notably newer, Rendezvous Tower rooms are the largest standard guest rooms in town complete with Art Deco style, twin sinks, a makeup mirror and makeup desk. Find panoramic views and jacuzzi bathtubs in the Rendezvous suites. Avoid a line with electronic checkout from all rooms, plus premium channels, pay movies and Internet access (fees apply).

Features

Guests find action everywhere they turn from this high-rise Boardwalk locale on the beach. Dining highlights American favorites (steak, burgers, pizza, and casual, beach-inspired seafood) with Italian and Asian restaurants tossed in the mix. A daily fee grants guests access to the health club, home to a cardio fitness room, steam room, sauna, whirlpool, lockers and showers. Valet parking is available (fees apply).

AC Stay in February

We parked in Resorts parking garage, forcing us to enter the hotel through a smoke-filled casino. By the time we got to the hotel lobby my wife and I were both complaining that we smelled like smoke. While we realize that most of the casinos have smoking 'areas', forcing guests to walk through an area (where there is a major entrance to the casino floor) who are offended and even allergic to cigarette smoke is entirely unacceptable. Check in was entirely too slow. We had a reservation that we checked in for at 5pm and theroom was not ready yet. Resorts check in is at 4pm. Being in the service industry, this is poor customer service. If you cannot have a room ready, than change your check in time. The elevators in the hotel were entirely too slow. Always getting stuck and never more than 2 "oworking at once:.

Great service

Walked in welcomed immediately, paid 36 dollars and upgraded to a suite for only 17 more. Didn't win much but was a great atmosphere. Had a singing bartender that was awesome just to watch. I would recommend this beautiful hotel again.

Had fun, but could have been better

Overall experience was good, but the beds were uncomfortable, tv's were outdated, room service was a long wait and the bathroom shower had some rust on the ceiling. The staff however was wonderful.

Great place in good location

Me and my wife have been frequent quest here during this winter. It is great for the price. Located on the board walk. Good drink specials at the casino bar with a singing bartender, lots of fun. Nice heated pool and great spa. Room was clean and big. Bed a bit firm but comfortable. Only bumber is the Serene Blu Message in the lobby. They are aggresive. Upon entering they repeatedly asked why my wife didn't want a message too, then continuosly asked why I wouldn't get the longer more expensive message, then where angery about the tip I gave. I left more tense then when I went in. They don't respect or appreciate there customers.
