The largest standard guest rooms at Atlantic City's first casino

The first and oldest casino in Atlantic City, Resorts Atlantic City opened in 1978 and recently added the Rendezvous Tower with new guest rooms. Its Boardwalk location is a short walk to the rides and arcade on the piers. On the third floor, a retractable glass roof reveals a heated indoor/outdoor pool and party-sized hot tub, free to guests. Stretch out for a suntan on the ocean-view sundeck. A casino, two theaters, a handful of restaurants and a 24-hour cocktail lounge keep choices varied but not overwhelming.

Highlights
  • Largest standard guest rooms in Atlantic City inside the new Rendezvous Tower
  • Boogie Nights weekend dance club with a 70s and 80s theme holds three 2010 Atlantic City Nightlife Awards
  • Free indoor/outdoor pool with retractable glass roof
  • Spa, salon, and health club (fees apply)
Rooms

Dating to the hotel's beginnings, Ocean Tower rooms have simple, light wood furnishings, bright bed coverings and oversized showers. Notably newer, Rendezvous Tower rooms are the largest standard guest rooms in town complete with Art Deco style, twin sinks, a makeup mirror and makeup desk. Find panoramic views and jacuzzi bathtubs in the Rendezvous suites. Avoid a line with electronic checkout from all rooms, plus premium channels, pay movies and Internet access (fees apply).

Features

Guests find action everywhere they turn from this high-rise Boardwalk locale on the beach. Dining highlights American favorites (steak, burgers, pizza, and casual, beach-inspired seafood) with Italian and Asian restaurants tossed in the mix. A daily fee grants guests access to the health club, home to a cardio fitness room, steam room, sauna, whirlpool, lockers and showers. Valet parking is available (fees apply).

good price and confortable stay

price was very good, actually one of the best price we saw online. we decided to go there in the last minutes, when we went through online, this hotel was still giving a good price. Room we had was a big room which had 2 bathrooms, 2 full size beds. One thing was old type of TV in the room. Overall, it was a great stay.

Disappointed in my $300 room

First they only had rooms with one king bed left when I booked double beds. The woman offered me a cot. Then we got to the room. It was so tiny, no clue where the cot would go. But the main problem was the dirty bathroom. Wastebasket was full and a woman's dirty underwear were on the floor. The manager was a bit dismissive. Offering to send up housekeeping. I insisted on a new room. Which ended up being much bigger thank god. But when I went down to switch keys. They wanted to charge me $45 for the cot. I was beyond upset. The manager in the end did give me a $40 food credit. Just wasn't impressed at all.

Fall Vacation

I was not impressed with this visit as I had been from the previous years. The hotel was being remodeled. Didn't receive the room I booked. The customer/valet service was unprofessional. (long green fingernails; manicure or not, it's not approriate when greeting customers). The most upsetting part was valet service bought my truck to me with a flat tire which I didn't get to air it until on the toll road gas station. Hope you are better in 2012.

Areas needing improvement

Knowing we would be arriving after midnight, I called to mke sure they held our room. Upon checkin in, desk clerk was snippy that "my you're late". I explained I had called, "oh yes, I see that you did". Reservation was clearly for a non-smoking king room in the Ocean Tower. they had a smoking room. So we ended up in the rendezvous tower in a room with 2 queen beds, no tub and shower light was out. When I asked the front desk about the room being different from what the reservation was for, she rolled her eyes and said it was the newer rooms and I was upgraded. I used to work in hotels, that was not an upgraded room:( Never could get a cocktail waitress to acknowledge us the entire time we were there. If we did get their attention, the said they would be back and hours later never did.
