Bad bad area
The hotel itself isn't that bad. It is clean and outdated and it's in a horrible area. Bums and a not so good people are all over the place outside the hotel. If you're ok with that, the hotel's fine. It's a Howard johnsons, it's not the Hilton. It's ok for the price in AC.

great place!
Stayed during a two night trip to Atlantic city. We were looking for a cheap place but also decently nice. We pretty much got a bargain when we booked through orbit. When we got to the hotel we were surprised to how not NOT shady the place actually was. The room was clean and nothing was wrong except for a light that seemed to be out. We called the front desk and they had the light working while we took a walk to the beach. The staff was very nice and respected the guest and did a good job cleaning and taking care of us. Definitely recommend.

Great location great price
The hotel was in a great spot in walkin distance to casinos. They had a bus that stop right in front of the hotel to take you to the outlet stores and other casinos. My husband and I had a great time. This was our first trip to Atlantic city but we plan on going again and stayin at the Howard Johnson

not to shaby
the rooms were clean inside. the carpeting outside the rooms were dirty looking but, are just old. The staff was Ok, but unflattering. the room keys didnot work very well, they are old also. Hotel could definatly stand to be updated. the walls could use some sound proofing, because you can hear everything going on outside of your room and your neighbor on the otherside of the wall. No one would have guest be quiet late at night, music and sceaming was going on all hours of the night non-stop. Would not stay agian 2days were enough with little sleep.

DO NOT EVER STAY HERE! EVER!
Our first night, someone attempted to break into our room. The two males who were attempting to break the door open also had to walk through the lobby and then continue to our room which for some reason you have to go outside to get to. The hotel staff never once checked with us about the entire situation. We did not feel comfortable AT ALL staying in this hotel/motel. The non-smoking rooms reeked of cigarette smoke, when our bathroom wasn't supplied with shampoo, conditioner, or soap, we notified the front desk, and keep in mind this is after we had to deal with the police 3am the night before, and they insisted that we had to come get it ourselves if we wanted it. Barely any of the hotel staff spoke fluent English. I will never, ever stay in this hotel again, even if they paid me to.

Great Value
The Hotel was very clean. It was a little run down, but still well maintained. It's location made up for everything, we walked to casino's, boardwalk, shopping, restaurants, etc. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
