Great value

The Flagship is a great value for the area. Even cruddy hotels in Atlantic City are extremely expensive. This one is clean and in a good neighborhood, and is only about a $10 cab ride from either the Marina district or the Boardwalk. The only complaint is that the beds were a little hard.

Entertainment tip: Short drive from hotel

All Atlantic City casinos are within a short drive. Just hop in a cab and tell them where you want to go, and it should be around $10.

Room for improvement

I like the Flagship but the problem they have is that there is no consistency. One week I get a room with wash clothes and It's clean. Two weeks later I get a dirty room and terrace with no wash clothes. Also the front desk staff could sometimes be more accomodating to return guest who reserve a room twice a month for a period of time.Other then that I don't mind going there too much and getting the rooms ending in 19.

Good Value in AC

The Flagship was a good value compared to other accommodations in Atlantic City. If you don't care about not being at a casino or you have kids, this place works. We stayed in a one bedroom suite. The decor is older but functional. The glass doors leaked so bad we couldn't sit in the livingarea without a blanket but it was very cold. The hot water in the shower kept going from cold to scaulding. The hotel does not upgrading. They are working on renovating the hotel and selling the timeshares. They weren't too pushy about the timeshares. The staff were helpful and friendly and the restaurant breakfast buffet was excellant. A free shuttle runs to one of the casino on the hour. The pool was jammed with kids and a sign warned people not to rinse dirty diapers in the pool. That was enough of a turnoff to prevent our using the pool. Kids were plentiful so if you want an adult environment this place isn't for you. Still a decent stay at a decent price.

It was ok

Then the man at check-in was really nasty. The hotel itself was a walkkk to the boardwalk and surrounding areas. Didn't appreciate how there was no restaurant or anything remotely close to the area. The beds are hard as a rock, but the kitchen did come with everything you needed. all in all i wouldn't recommend.

Great for singles

When I first checked in, the room that I first received was not great. The carpets smelled. There was rust and cracks in the bathroom sink and the heater was noisy. After I complained, they gave me a much better room. The heater was still noisey which can interrupt a person's sleep. However, all in all, it was a pleasant stay. Being single, the room was definitely in a quiet area and relaxing.

Fishing is right across the street for those who enjoy that sport. Saw people catching quite a bit of fish from the Atlantic ocean from a pier.

A bit broken down,

Doors from the parking garage very hard to open, the handle came off once so I could not get out. The balcony had one plastic worn chair and a cheap plastic table. Tbe place was clean but guests are expected to wash the complementary glasses or get charged fifty dollars. The hotel is far from the boardwalk and unsafe to walk at night. No one offered the option of taking the gitney only spoke of the hourly bus that ends at midnight.

Nice views

The thing I enjoyed the most about the Flagship was that the suite had a balcony with a nice view of the ocean and the city. It appears that most hotels in Atlantic City on the boardwalk do not have balconies. It would have been nicer if the furniture on the balcony had been clean. I didn't want to sit on it without taking a towel from the bathroom. The suite itself was clean, however, the metal cover that belonged over the air/heat unit and filters was not mounted properly and was just leaning against the wall. That was tacky. The bed was hard and really not very comfortable at all. There was a lot of construction going on in the hotel but that was not offensive, improvements are a good thing in the long run. The elevators were slow and not all in working order so that was annoying at times. I am not a gambler and was there to visit a friend so being located amongst all the casinos was not important to me, however, they are not far at all. Just a five minute drive away, if that. I would probably give the Flagship a shot again. However, I would not recommend it to my friends because it wasn't all that. I prefer and would only recommend more luxurious acomodations.
