Does Not Qualify as a "Resort"

I only spent one night -- a Saturday to attend a show, not gamble -- but my experience was distinctly average. Best feature by far: the view from the north side rooms. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the coastline made it almost worth the steep price. Worst? The elevators. Waits so long we finally decided to walk down ten flights, and discovered we weren't the only ones as a parade of guests tromped down the stairs rather than waiting ten minutes or more. Yes, they claimed they were installing a new system, but if so, it's a loser. Other negatives: a lot of noise from nearby rooms and hallways, not one but two attempts to pitch us their time-share, a distinctly edgy neighborhood far from the casinos' action, and lastly, the absence of a boardwalk. That's right, the northern section of boardwalk was apparently destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. Hopefully that will be corrected at some future point. Otherwise, the bathroom was clean, the beds comfortable, and the hotel staff friendly and helpful, despite being burdened with the handicap of a less than stellar property. At $100 or less per night, this is an okay lodging, as long as you're not expecting a real resort experience. At $300, not so much.

Great for Bachelorette Parties!!!

The kitchenette was well-stocked and perfect for getting drinks and snacks together. it's a little out of the way from the casinos/bars but easy to get a cab (or $5 limo!!)

Money-saving tip: In Hotel

Bring drinks and food to the hotel, you can mix up almost anything in the kitchenette which will save you lots of money at the bars/casino.

Good place for a family to go.

We had a nice time, good place for kids. Have to drive to the beach. Good views of the water from the rooms that are in front of building.

Trying someplace new

Best part was the great view from our room balcony. Elevators were slow, but being updated. Room was a good size with 2 double beds in an efficiency. Decent accomadations for a family staying with good size refrigerator and microwave and kitchen basics.Restaurant and snack foods available on same floor as indoor pool and it appeared to have a hot tub. Unfortunately we were staying only one night and did not take advantage of anemities. Staff was nice and informative, especially parking attendant. There was a fee for parking garage, but free street parking. Sadly boardwalk along coast accross the street needs to be redone from Hurricane Sandy. Normally have stayed at casino hotels. This was a better deal for the summer seasion.

Tired Property

Not 4 stars in my opinion. The entire property is in need of a complete remodel. They are in the process of upgrading the elevators. I hope this is just the beginning. Stayed in a 1 bed suite on the 14th floor. Room was old and cheaply furnished. It was clean but not attractive in any way. This is not just a hotel, but a timeshare property as well. I'm not sure who would buy a unit in this property as a timeshare. I have no plans on ever returning.

Ok stay

Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We planned on walking the boardwalk from the hotel to the casino area only to find missing sections of the boardwalk which required us to walk thru a terrible part of town where I feared for my well being. The only complaint with the hotel itself was the elevators in the hotel, they took forever and felt very jerky when moving.

OK, but far from casinos

The hotel was nice, but a bit further from dining and the casinos than I anticipated.

Comfortable stay for a mini vacation

Board walk, casinos, outlets, lounge. If it wasn't for the slow elevators, and the free shuttle bus going every hour or on the hour, and then sundays everyday 2 hours, it would have been more enjoyable.

Away from the Action

This place was okay but showing it's age especially in the bath rooms. The location is not great. It is close to the casinos but far enough that you have to drive or take a cab or bus. I would rater spend a little more and get a little better place next time.
