Beautiful family trip to farm

Planned a family vacation to escape the NJ heat and visit the NH mountains. The resort was beautiful, with grounds that were well-kept, and a very friendly and helpful staff. Visited the farm animals every morning, petting the goats and rabbit and picking eggs. Axe-throwing was fun, as were the nightly smores by the campfire. Tried mountain-biking for the first time - beware if you've never tried it before as even the easiest trail was pretty intense. Also buggy in the woods in late July. Indoor pool was very clean, as was the hot-tub. Restaurant was very good with reasonable prices. We ate every meal there. Didn't try the outdoor pool because it was a bit cool (70's) outside. Also tennis and basketball. One of our favorites!

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Whitewater rafting with ELC was great! Ken took us on a half-dozen runs through a short stretch of class 2 rapids. Drive was more like 60-90 minutes, but was worth it!

Winter Vintage elegance

The stay was elegant and superb. The setting was mystical and the staff were very professional. Their restaurant could compare with any in New England and their wine selection was beyond expectations.. This classic hotel is a fine choice for a romantic getaway as well as many activities for families
