Alright.
We stayed at La Quinta for a wedding at Castleton one exit up. The hotel was average, at best. I have a habit of ripping the comforter off the bed at ANY hotel room I stay in -- they do NOT get washed often. Glad I did -- there was blood on the backside of the blanket! The sheets were clean, and fine enough to sleep on after a night of wedding fun.

Very Satisfied
The room was clean and the people were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the continental breakfast that was provided. There was a nice variety and plenty to eat. We also took advantage of the exercise room.

Very average, but good for price
For the price, this was a reasonable place to stay. Little details matter though, like not having NBC available on the TV, the room clock not having been adjusted for daylight savings time a week earlier, the paper HBO schedule was from February (I stayed 3/19). Overall, clean room, nice free continental breakfast, friendly staff, and free wifi. A good deal for the money, especially traveling with a youth sports team and their families.

Good fit
I was only there for a quick overnight to shorten a morning commute. The staff was very good which made the short stay better. I would stay here again because of the cheap rate.

Nice hotel. Will stay there again.
The people at the desk were very friendly. I had asked for a microwave and fridge in my room, when I got there she said unfortunately the people who do that already left for the day (I didn't get there until the evening) but they upgraded me to a suite for free. So it was great. Nice size room. The bathroom was clean. They had a few excise equipment that I could use so I had no excuse to not continue working out. The free breakfast was nice too. They had fresh fruits which was good. The price was great for what I got.

I was so glad that less than 10 minute drive away was a Kmart, Bob stores, Christmas tree shop and market basket as well as other shopping. There was also a variety of restaurants in that area too.

clean but noisy
There was a group of people on our floor that were partying all night long. The rooms are not soundproof at all and we were woke up at 2,3, and 4 a.m. When we did call the front desk someone came up and told them to quiet down, but this only worked for 5 - 10 minutes.We had one of our worse nights sleep ever.

Not perfect by any means
We stayed in Salem in order to do some sales tax free shopping in New Hampshire. The location was fine for us and the room was clean, but we did not have hot water two mornings in a row, our bathroom fan did not work, and the continental breakfast was not replenished, even within the alloted time. We learned on day two to go down at 6:30 a.m. when breakfast was started and select what we wanted, took it back to our room, and brought it back down with us when we were ready to eat. On day one of no hot water we were given a $5 off coupon for our next stay and told the water was fixed. It was more luke warm than earlier, that was about it. On day two of no hot water we were given another room to shower in (as we were checking out that day they did not move us)and told that the manager upon return would be mailing us a free nights stay for our trouble. The staff aplologized up and down, and we did not wish to be disappointed, however we were.

The Blackwater Grill was suggested to us by the hotel staff and it was superb. It is less than 5 minutes by car from the hotel and we loved it. The food was fresh and prepared to order. We can't wait to go back!!!!

Beats Econolodge any day
Location was reasonable, with easy access to the highway. Room was very nice, and staff was helpful. The breakfast buffet was typical, however left alot to be desired. I opted for the fruit, they had apples, and every day it was the same old rotting fruit. Room service doesnt knock before entering either. Only allowed 6 hangers at max for each room. Refrigerator froze the drinks I had bought, and the heater, blower element started making noise two days prior to our check out.
