Lovely night

This is a well located hotel, graced with a nice modern decor in rooms. We received very friendly and pleasant service at the reception. The hotel is well located, near the heart of Portsmouth, near many excellent restaurants and shopping. The lobby was being renovated but that was not disruptive at all (we also received an information sheet about the renovation). One criticism is that 's it's too bad that you have to pay for the parking (10$ per night to be parked outside, which in the NH weather is not exactly great).

Overall good experience.

Good experience overall. The rooms were a bit pricey for the space and lack of views but it was comfortable. Not a complaint but the little things do count... the bathroom fan didn't work and the complimentary coffee in the lobby was always empty by 8 am but was supposed to be available until 9 am. But, like I said, overall good experience.

Good location, rooms not worth the $

Very good location in Portsmouth however, rooms and hotel did not meet expectations. Although our room was non-smoking, the smell was in the carpets and permeated the room. When brought up with hotel staff they said sorry but offered no other remedy other than spraying some room freshener.

Great place for a little getaway.

Staff was very friendly and acted like they new us before we got there. Check-in was less than 2 minutes, they had everything ready when we walked in. Beds were extremely comfortable and room was very clean. The bad, you have to pay for parking, TVs are big and HD(but they don't have the HD hooked up),hotel bar was not big enough for the size of hotel(very crowded).

mediocre experience

When we booked the room it was assumed that a "deluxe" room would have a queen size bed. Instead two doubles put a real damper on a romantic weekend especially when one of us had to move to the other bed because of an old saggy mattress.

Portsmouth Sheraton

Great area to see historical sites. Great for shopping, lots of little shops and galleries and not far from the Maine Outlets. Excellent restaurants. Everything from quaint coffee shops to gourmet Restaurants. Great staff, very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend the hotel start to replace the carpets in the halls. Very worn and does not shed a good light on the quality you actually receive.
