As always... convenient...clean...comfortable... and affordable!!!

While the amenities are pretty average, you can't expect luxury for the price you pay. The staff is phenomenal, extremely polite, helpful and knowledgeable. The girl at the front desk not only suggested a bunch of great local spots to eat and have some drinks downtown, she even wrote out detailed directions to all the places. Great place to stay on a budget!

Location was great for Kittery shopping & exploring downtown Portsmouth . Quick drive to each. Motel was as expected, nothing fancy. Desk staff was very nice, room was clean, bathroom very clean. Small TV, (20 inch) but clear. Mattress was very hard and not too comfortable. Asked for extra pillows & blankets which helped. Left the room early and came back for a rest around 3 pm and housekeeping still had not made up the room. So just a very average room, ok price but for a bit more money can probably do better.

average room, good price. the room was nothing special, but for the price and simply as a place to sleep it was fine.

If you are traveling and need a place to sleep and grab a quick shower, this hotel is for you. It is inexpensive and convenient and clean. If you want anything more, go elsewhere. The room has one wooden desk chair, so you cannot sit and visit comfortably. The bathroom has no shampoo/conditioner, no tissues, no hair dryer. There is no clock in the room. If I just need a place to sleep, I don't want to pay for a lot of amenities that I will not be using. However, this hotel offers fewer "creature comforts" than any place I have ever stayed.

Beds were uncomfortable....time for new mattresses! No hairdryers or shampoo. We ended up w/a smoking room (all that was available), but there's no excuse for the smell in the hall & room. I've been in homes of heavy smokers that never smelled so bad! Advertised a continental breakfast....coffee was offered. Would not recommend ths hotel nor would I stay at another Motel 6.

Stayed one night to go to the airshow. Was pretty clean, but a real "no frill" hotel. No coffee maker, fridge, tissues, extra anything, except for 2 small bars of soap. Bed is REALLY hard and pillow...I didn't think they could make them any flatter. They only had one room left and it was smokin, but it didn't smell too bad. We opened up the window a bit to air it out. It was a little pricey, for that type, but it was the airshow weekend and they didn't jack up there prices as much as others did. Overall, it met our needs for a place to sleep for just one night.....Staff was very polite too.

On our way to a weekly rental in Maine a day early,we enjoyed Portsmouth,NH. Just needed a bed for the night. It was clean, comfortable and inexpensive. Just what we wanted.

Front desk staff were friendly and helpful; though likely embarrassed by the state the hotel was in. Parking was extremely limited - I was luck to find a spot. As for the room: Bathroom was clean; carpets sticky & dirty; bed sagged and was uncomfortable; the TV was CRT (not flat screen - plasma, lcd or led). Though the room was deemed to be "non-smoking" clearly it had been smoked in. Finally, no wifi available in the room; limited wifi was available in the lobby but cost $2.99 for 24 hours of useful connection time. Given the high cost of hotels in the area this was the lowest cost but wasn't even trying to improve upon what was offered.

THis hotel was terrible...I mean do not go there. The room even though it was no smoking...STUNK. We had to check out at 11pm at night because I could not stand the smell. Everything about it was horrible.
