Motel 6 Portsmouth NH

The hotel was great...very comfortable beds, very friendly front desk staff...couldn't ask for more!

Basic hotel worthy of a major hotel brand. Location is away from major tourist and visitor sites (i.e. downtown) but this is largely offset by good highway connections and availability of national retail and restaurant facilities.

As a traveling musician I need to be near the venue, as well as stay within the budget alloted to me. This Motel 6 is actual the best of the Motel 6's Ive stayed in. You are surrounded with malls, shopping centers for food and other entertainment, and you are a stone's throw away from Historic Portsmouth, with its restaurants and shops. Also a great stop if you are on your way to or from Maine. The nearby mall is great, and there is a CINEPLEX across the way. The lovely front desk helped with the best route when I was trying to avoid traffic (my gps can only do so much). Wish they had tissues, and a continental breakfast would have been a nice touch. I did sleep like a baby and they let you check out at noon

Better than mediocre, but not by a ton. The bed was stiff and unmade, but everything seemed pretty clean. Excellent location, no smoking stink around the place, Nice and inexpensive.

I had no idea they literally left a light on for you. There will be no microwave or refrigerator. The ice machine is on the first floor only. No continental breakfast. You have to pay for fairly slow internet (3 dollars, which isn't too bad) The TV was a small tube-style with only basic channels. There was a dirty cup from the previous occupant and the bed was poorly made. I was bummed about the lack of microwave, as I had intended to save some money by eating in. Alas. Also bummed that I didn't realize pets are allowed. People, bring your pets, they're welcome! Conclusion: Great if you just want a place to sleep for the night, but not particularly comfortable if you plan to veg.

I was visiting a car show was a perfect location . When I got there, there were a couple of hotel employes outside smoking, had to wait a few minutes, they did not have non smoking room as I had requested, but I was just there for one night , otherwise the stay was good, would visit again.

Overall the room was clean except for really bad stains in the toilet. The TV in the room was really small and must have been from the eighties. The carpet had big stains all over.

They only problem we had was to find a hotel even with GPS. We call the motel and got very clear instructions from the girl at the front desk

I enjoyed many more amenities in a more urban location for $10 more per night. There were NO amenities - just soap in the bathroom, no hair dryer, no coffee maker even in the lobby, paper thin towels, inconvenient non-trusting hangars, no lobby at all, no facial tissues, no internet, no seating other than the desk chair, no iron or ironing board - just the opposite of the other hotel.

The staff was nice, but he room was aweful, the mattress was lumpy old dirty and smelled, the sheets were yellow stained and the pillows were very old stained and they also smelled
