Fairfield Inn by Marriott Portsmouth Seacoast

make sure you go over your confirmation, i asked for 2 double beds and the confirmation said 1 double bed so my husband, daughter and myself had to sleep in a room for 1. we did get a cot for no charge. the room was nice but small. the breakfast was really good and only 5 mins from downtown

We just stayed 1 night at the hotel to go out in downtown portsmouth and it was great. The rooms were tidy, front desk staff very helpful, the beds were incredibly comfortable-- we didn't want to get up in the morning because they were so comfy-- and they serve a cute continental breakfast in the morning which was actually quite good with bagels and cereal, fresh fruit-- etc. Would definitely stay there again (a little pricey) but relatively close to downtown, it's right off the traffic circle and only a 5 min cab ride there. Only issues we encountered were with the bathroom the fan didn't work so it was really stuffy in our room after we showered and they recommended a very poorly mannered cab company who told us to "hurry up because they were too busy". All in all the hotel was really great!

I was put in a handicap accessible room, although not sure why. The room had a king bed, microwave, fridge, etc. The bed looked inviting until I had to remove the black curly hair - ewww. The mini fridge would thaw out and make terribly inconsistent start-up noises. At 2am, I yanked the plug out of the wall so I could try and get some sleep. When I told the front desk the next morning, they weren't concerned. Nice! The location was good as I was driving to York Maine. The roundabout to get back on the highway was a little confusing. You had to travel about 2 miles to find food. There's nothing w/in walking distance of the hotel. B/fast was your usual continental grub. They were nice enough to give me a tray so I could take my food back to my room. Some hotels want you to keep food on premises. It wasn't a bad stay, just a few annnoying details. [...]

All of the staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful and made the stay very enjoyable.

great location at a great price

We checked in and then went shopping and then to the beach. It was cool and windy but the ocean air was refreshing. If the price was a little lower we might have stayed another night. The next time we will remember to bring our swimming suits.

The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. The only thing that I have noticed when booking a hotel through a travel site is that the room is either at the very end of the hall or next to the elevator, thank goodness this room was at the end of the hall.

We went to Portsmouth just for the night. The hotel was clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a few minute drive into downtown. We would have liked a jacuzzi to relax in after our drive. The pool was outside and clean.
