Courtyard by Marriott Portsmouth

My only issue with our stay was there was no breakfast for the holiday weekend only pastries were offered. I wish I'd known up front . One of the main reasons I'd pick this hotel was for the free breakfast. On the upside we were given a free room upgrade as soon as we checked in due to the size of our family 2 kids, a baby and my husband and myself..

Have stayed at several of these brand hotels and have enjoyed staying at these hotels. However, the pillows on the beds at this one were a little uncomfortable and I had a little less sleep than I needed. Had breakfast at the hotel, the food was average but the cushions in the booths were in desperate need of replacement. Otherwise, we enjoyed the stay.

King size bed was extremely comfortable. Fully restfulweekend . Relaxing location close to downtown. Pleasant fall foliage off small balcony

I found this hotel conveniently located to both the beaches of Rye and the shopping in Kittery. the front desk staff was extremely helpful and had great dinner suggestions. They were clearly very familiair with the area. The room was clean and comfortable. Being a country girl, I did find the noise from the highway a bit intrusive. I would request a rear faciong bead room next time.

Easy check in and out. Clean room, fast internet, and coffee in the morning. What more can you want?

As fairly frequent visitors to Portsmouth, we've tried a number of hotels and found our stay at the Courtyard this time about as good as it gets. The staff was friendly and courteous, attentive but not overly. The room was clean, most important, and well designed for comfort. And, while still fairly close to Rte. 95, it was quiet enough and certainly convenient to everything.

Great hotel! When we arrived, front desk staff were extremely friendly! Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Definitely will come back again!

The hotel was clean and well taken care of. The Pool was indoor and COLD. The hot tub was in need of a good cleaning. We were there for New Year's Eve Weekend. We went to first night Portsmouth the next day we walkd around downtown Portsmouth. After that, we then went back to the hotel to use the Pool. It was COLD. After using the pool we went to our room to relax. Upon going out to eat we learned that the resturant and bar were closed for the night. Mind you this was a SATURDAY NIGHT. What the person at the front desk told us was that there were not enough people staying the night to warrent the lounge etc being opened. We had wanted to come back after dinner and sit at the bar to watch the winter classic. I don't understand how an arbitrary decision such as that can be made when peopel pick a hotel based on the known ammenitites.

Stayed here for a business trip. Staff was always friendly. Would recommend this hotel for a business traveler on a corporate budget. My room had a balcony which was nice, but I would rate this an average room for the price. Bathroom tile around the tub could have been cleaner, but the rest of the room/bed was clean. The hotel is NOT walking distance from downtown shops and restaurants, but is relatively close (couple miles up Market street) for the price. The room was quiet and comfortable. I would stay here again.

This hotel was part of a wedding we were attending. It worked out perfectly for the shuttle to and from the reception. It was also an easy location to get on and off the high way and into downtown Portsmouth.
