Not worth the price
Three amigos Aug 25, 2009
Looks more like a motor lodge than a resort. We were given a room that someone must have been in and did not like it, or ... housekeeping was off that day. The beds were messy, only two towels and one face cloth for three people, a room with two queen size beds. We had to go to the pool area to get towels for our room. There was half eaten food in the fridge, half eaten sundae in the freezer, popcorn on the floor. However, they thought enough to leave a tip envelope. The cookout was not worth the money. They had only a small dried out selection, and charged $11 per person. Could have gotten a better meal if we had gone out for the price we paid. There is no room service, and the breakfast in the morning is similar to the cookout fare for a little more $. There were no lifeguards on duty so had to deal with alot of kids playing with toys hitting other people, total chaos. Children as young as 5 were going into the hot tub, even though there was a clear sign that stated only 10 and older, but there was never any staff in the pool area. The mini golf was just a bunch of two by fours made like a maze with some astroturf. The rooms have thin walls, so you can hear everything, and we were on the first floor and heard the people above us walking all the time. For the price, there are other places to stay that are better accomodations for the same amount. Basically looks like you are paying for them to mow their massive lawn, and that is about it. Oh, the game room was not too bad, and they did have Wii, with one public computer that I had to reboot several times, and it still was so slow that I gave up. The only positive was the view, as long as you get a "garden view" room, which has the mountains. Just try to block out the parking lot and everyone parking in front of your room to register.

Great for Families!!!!
BusyMom Aug 14, 2009
This is our second year staying at Foxridge and we have had great experiences both times. This year we stayed in a loft ... room, was great for three adults and three young children, plenty of room. Used both pools, the mini golf, the game room and the playground. Short distance from Storyland and many family friendly restaurants. Great views of the mountains. They seem to be doing some updating around the hotel which looks great. Very manicured grounds. Will go back!!!!

Very nice
Travelin' Mom Aug 4, 2009
We stayed overnight on a whim as an add on while visiting friends in North Conway. Rooms in the area are generally ... expensive, so I found this one fairly reasonable. We were able to add on breakfast for $8 per adult and $5 for children, it was a decent buffet, though I would have liked some toast, bagels or english muffins..Staff was super friendly and loved the shuttle over to the sister hotel that had a water park ($20 to add on)... shuttle was on demand and so nice after sitting in traffic all day. Overall, I was very pleased, room was clean and comfortable, and bathroom was very clean and tile looked new. Would stay again.

Great Hotel but don't use "ORBITZ.COM"
John and Linda Jul 30, 2009
Hotel was great. Clean and convenient. Somewhat secluded and away from the highway noise. Family friendly. Helpful and ... courteous staff. Breakfast Buffet well worth the $8 they charge. Only complaint was that reservation was made online through orbitz.com who charged $10 more than the Hotel charges on it's own website. What happened to the lowest rates? This isn't the hotels fault and is in no way a complaint about the hotel. It's not even about the 10 bucks. Just the principal I guess. Would highly recommend this Hotel, just check rates on the Hotels website before booking through an outside agent.

Not what I would expect from Red Jacket
Party of four Jul 28, 2009
Check in was fairly quick. The room we had was ample for the 4 of us. The walls are paper thin. We were woken up all night ... long by a baby/ toddler that was in the room next to us that kept calling for its mother. The indoor pool area was crowed and noisy. We ended up leaving as another guest had alcohol and was drinking in the pool and had about 10 cans of Budweiser lined up against the wall. He was noisy, disruptive and left beer around where our chairs and young children were sitting. I did complain and the desk told me that I was not the first to do so. Not sure why he hadn't been removed the first time as alcohol is not allowed in the pool area to begin with so that ruined our pool experience. The beds were like sleeping on a cement floor and we all woke up with neck and other body pains. Not happy at all and the front desk did nothing to resolve, fix or help the issues.

great family destination
Huntington Hillary Jul 21, 2009
the location is beautiful. The food is OK but the restaurants were full of screaming unrestrained children. The room had a ... loft with 2 twin beds and a sink upstairs for the kids. It was closed with a curtain, so we didn't have complete privacy. The ceiling upstairs was low and vaulted; so the teenager kept hitting his head, as did the adults. (stucco hurts). There is an indoor water park for guests at $20 per person at the sister property. They also have a great arcade. The regular pools (indoor and outdoor are lovely). There is a rustic mini golf course that my 7 year old enjoyed, the rest of us were unimpressed. They have activities for families at both properties. The sister property is down the street and there is a shuttle to take you back and forth. They had a Wii contest at the sister hotel that we had to drag my son from. They also had a barbecue at our hotel for families. It is in a great location and the property is beautiful. We had only positive encounters with staff.

IF you want to see moose, go up and down the kankamongas Highway very early in the AM. If you are looking to hike at a bog, do not go to the Quincy bog because it is not a bog, it is a swamp and impressive beaver dam, but we went there expecting to hike a bog, not a swamp. We canoed and kayaked the Saco River, we should have done a longer trip than the 2 hours that we did, it was a great. Mt Washington was 40 degrees colder than North Conway, bring layers. It was also raining and sleeting atop, and not below.

John Oct 11, 2008
The fox ridge was located right in the heart of north conway close to all the shops and restaurants. The room was ... surprisingly spacious and well kept. A bonus for the kids is you can use the indoor water park of their sister resort for a small extra fee well worth it The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only complaint I CAN THINK OF, is that the dining room only serves breakfast.

My stay was brief. The grounds looked upkept and very clean. I liked the layout of the hotel and the fact that you didnt ... have to exit into a hallway, but into the outdoors. It made it nicer to sleep in as I was not awoken by doors closing as other guest were leaving to check out. I would suggest more lighting in the parking lots and walkways. I was very pleased with my brief stay & would consider returning.

Fryeburg Fair stay
Cindy Oct 2, 2008
Basically just stayed there over night for the bed and shower. We checked in, went to the fair, came back watched alittle tv ... and went to sleep, got up in the morning showered and checked out. I can tell you that the room was nice and I liked the idea of the vanity being separate from the toilet and shower. But most of all, I remember the bed and pillows being soooo comfy, that I got a good night sleep which is what I was looking for before traveling back home. I was not disappoint with my stay for the cost.

Paula Sep 30, 2008
The Foxridge Resort was very comfortable. Upon entering our room I noticed the back of the toilet had some yellow spots on ... it. I called room service, a very friendly, cooperative fellow came to our room and cleaned the toilet. We were told the yellow spots were from the toilet cleaner that is used to clean toilets and the cleaning staff just didn't finish wiping the entire toilet when she was cleaning it. The hotel is right on the main strip, there is a sidewalk so it's easy to walk to the many stores, outlets and restaurants and leave your car parked in the hotel parking lot.

The Fox Ridge Resort was in a great location for our mini North Conway vacation. It was near all the stores, attractions, ... restaurants. Too many kids... but all in all it's a very kid friendly place.

My review of Fox Ridge Resort
Barry Aug 20, 2008
The Fox Ridge was comfortable and a little away from the crowd, set in the pristine location of the white mountains. The room ... was very comfortable for the three shoppers and myself, the tour guide, ha, ha. We had time to shop and still when we returned for a very long day shopping we had the quietness and space of being away from it all. I well very much recomend this hotel to any person as the place to stay in North Conway when shopping and still in the same space being in the wilderness of the mountains. Thank you, Fox Ridge
