- When looking for fine dining in New Castle, just visit the restaurant at Wentworth by the Sea Resort. The magnificent dining room has great views of the water as well as a wonderful atmosphere. Using local flavors, the food is unique and delicious.
- Roosevelt's Lounge
- Of the 3 restaurants at Wentworth by the Sea Resort, Roosevelt's Lounge is the most casual. Open for lunch and dinner, Roosevelt's Lounge is the perfect place to have a light meal or grab a drink before or after dinner.
- Latitudes Restaurant
- Each restaurant at Wentworth by the Sea Resort is unique, and the Latitudes Restaurant is no exception. Open seasonally, Latitudes is in a separate building than the main hotel overlooking the marina. Enjoy the summer weather and the wonderful views.

Great romantic stay
We have stayed at the Wentworth 3 times now and will continue to go back. The hotel is unique with its restoration, very clean and service is excellent. The location, by the Ocean and the surrounding gardens, is outstanding

Not worth the money
At $836 for two nights stay I would have expected a higher level of comfort/service. The first night, the hotels ventilation unit (I'm guessing) was making too much noise.It seemed like it was right outside our mindow. I was forced to turn on the room's climate control. They decide your comfort level. The control panel was not adjustable and was set at a permanent 68 degrees. We had a balcony outside our room which was MAYBE two feet wide and the view was not impressive. you could barely see water because the view was blocked by trees. The breakfast buffet oped at 6:30. We arrived at 6:50 and no one was there to greet us. At 7:30 we found some one to get our coffee. I had to serve myself orange juice after a search. The food was excellent. There was a wedding on Saturday afternoon and we couldn't find a spot to park, so I had to park in front of the hotel. Glad I wasn't towed. As far as the town of Portsmouth, It's a quaint little town with lots of little shops. There are some great seafood restaurants. I would highly recommend Jumpin' Jay's. About $100 tip included for two with app's. No drinks. Not much to see or do here. I would recommend the Isle of Shoals Steamship company for a cruise. Star island was nice. Overall, I would recommend driving a few miles further north into Maine.

Needed a break
Yes we needed a break, but not the classical resort or luxory hotel. The Wentworth fit the need for old world realaxation in a seaside location. The staff catered to our individual needs with the friendly help that was just what we needed. Our short stay left us refreshed. Thank you Wentworh by the Sea

Great weekend, excellent weather
We celebrated my husband's birthday. The hotel is beautiful, situated in a perfect place. The staff were very curtuous. I had asked for a king bed but they gave us 2 doubles! To make up for it, they gave us free breakfast buffet. Food was great too.

Wonderful hotel and location
The hotel is beautiful. Our room had views of the bay. Loved the heated floors in the bathroom. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was modrately priced. Enjoyed having a drink in the bar before bed.

The Wentworth by the Sea had a beautiful setting with vistas of hills and ocean. Located in an area close to nature...and shopping(portsmouth nh). Our room was well situated, comfortable and clean. The breafast staff and buffet were excellent. A very relaxing respite.
