Good but not great

In concept this is a great hotel for a regular hotel price. The rooms are grouped in small buildings with parking between the buildings. The rooms have a full kitchen and a lounge area with easy chair, couch, coffee table and fireplace. The flat screen tv swivelled to be square on to the couch or the bed. In the bathroom area there were two closets. The vanity area is separate from the toilet/shower area. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. All the bedding was high quality and felt as good as new. The devil is in the detail and that is where the place falls down. The toilet and show area are small. There is only one vanity although there is room for two and the room is set up for four people. I can't blame them for there being wasps up the chimney in New Hampshire in the fall, but when I killed the four that made it out of the fireplace I didn't expect to see them lying on the hearth for the next two days. If I'd had cleaning equipment I'd have cleared them up myself, same goes for the ash in the hearth. By far the worst problem was the lack of nouse isolation. In the morning when other people were taking showers the water howled through the pipes in our wall, There was also a lot of creaking from the upstairs floor. Fortunately we aren't too concerned by the noise of other people, but it was way more than in other hotels. A few dollars more on insulation and constructon adhesive would have cured the noise problems. The final issue was parking, there just isn't enough space to park near the buildings. So when the hotel is full you have to find a free spot where you can. Not a huge deal but like a lot of other things with this place a tiny bit of attention would have made it perfect.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

The Common Man is just up the road and is a decent place to eat. Not the cheapest place but worth the price.

Middle of the road

WE have stayed here before and requested handicap accessibility. We needed a short walk from the parking lot to our room. We got there about 9PM and checked in. Our room number and the map given us were not the same. We ended up with quite the extended walk instead. Then the next day I returned to my room and my key didn't work. So I drove down to the front desk and walked further. Desk clerk confirms the key isn't working. Asks if I had it by my cell phone. No. Did I have it near my car alarm????? No. He resets the key and assures me that my husbands key will work fine as well. Just wierd I say.

Convenient,clean, and affordable!

Since we were visiting several locations in New England, this hotel was located in the center of everywhere we wanted to go, and there was easy access to the main highways. The breakfast bar was the best we've had in all our travels, and I loved having a small kitchen to make my own coffee and keep sodas, milk, etc; in the fridge.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Anheuser Busch was fun and interesting. The White Mountains were beautiful. The drive to Old Orchard beach on 1a was breathtaking. Moose tours and whale watching are a must!

Nice & quiet

I usually stay a Marriotts because of the no smoking policy. This one was unusual because it is split into 9 or 10 4 room units. I really liked this set-up. It was quieter with no one running up & down the halls(there aren't any). There was a nice "woodsy" feel to the place- even though you're next to the highway. I enjoyed the fireplace in the room. I bought a log from the frontdesk and had a nice 3 hr. fire in the fireplace. New Hampshire is great! Imagine them letting you have a fire in a Boston Hotel room! Also, I got the suite with the kitchen and although I didn't use it, it seemed to have everything one would need. The bed was large and very comfortable. The room was quite spacious. I enjoyed my one-night stay. I didn't eat the complimentary breakfast, but I did go grab a coffee, and breakfast smelled good. That's the only reason that I didn't rate the dining higher. If they served real(Dunkin Donuts) coffee instead of the starbuks-like stuff I would've rated that top-star too!

OK but things were broken

Based on my prior stay, I expected more for the money. Both the television and the coffee maker were broken and were not fixed until the day following our check-in. Unfortunately we arrived around 9 pm and it was too late to call maintenance. Very frustrating. After a long holiday with family we just wanted to relax and watch a movie -- Probably won't stay here again, there are many other options in the area.

Excellent place

Literally spent just a short six hours in the hotel, but all seemed very fine. Apartment very clean and well furnished. Breakfast was excellent. If anything to fault, the bathrooms were small.
