Not too Suite

We stay in the Manchester NH area every Christmas to get together with family and do a little Christmas in the Room and so, for our purposes, a suite with breakfast is what we are looking for. We have spent many nights at the ************** Suites accross the street which is the Suite Standard in our opinion but figured we would give Springhill a try. When we realized our granddaughter would be staying overnight with us, we immediately called Springhill to change our Room from King to Double Queens were denied because we purchased through a 3rd Party . When we arrived, check-in was fine and the Hotel was decorated very nicely for Christmas, however, the Lobby Fireplace wasn't lit and never was throughout our stay...too bad, why put it in if youre not going to use it ? Really took away from the ambiance of the whole theme. When we entered our room, I was amazed that it was actually smaller than most hotel rooms we've stayed in and didnt meet the criteria of "Suite" at all! The Rectangular room was barely divided by a 5 foot wall. The Kitchen area was tucked in by the entry door and consisted of a small sink, tiny popcorn microwave and barely cold mini fridge. When we walked in, I picked up a small toy that must have been left by a previous guest, a penny and dirt stuff at the bed edges. Clearly the carpet had not been vaccuumed or done very well. The second floor hall carpet has a big ripple in the middle of it so watch your step!! Luckily we werent near the noisy ice maker!! We arrived later toward the end of the breakfast time period and the area was trashed, and barely being maintained. Only Sugar-Free immitation maple syrup (not even sure what it could be made of? In a New England motel chain???) Powdered eggs....yuck! Overall, not a great value at 100$ if youre looking for a "Suite" . Might be a value for a business traveler overnight staying near the airport...its fine. A little paint, cleaning and TLC and the place could be pretty good (light the fireplace, please!) but because of the room size and layout could never be recommended for more than one or two guests.

Very Nice...But

We were staying over one night because our flight got in very late and we couldn't pick up a car and continuing our journey. Pickup from airport was very quick even though it was 12:30 am. Staff was very couteous when we got there. Room was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast was much better than I expected, eggs, bacon, waffles, juice, and more. My only complaint is that the hotel is on a fairly busy street and you could hear lots of cars and trucks in the early morning, i.e. between 5 and 6 am, as well as airplane takeoffs. Better noise abatement would have been a worthwhile investment for them.

good location

Nice and close to the airport. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was adequate but carpet was in need of cleaning or replacement. Stain on carpet was unsightly. Nice breakfast fwith hot items as well as an assortment of breads and cereal. like the idea that coffee, tea is available all the time

Nice hotel

We needed a place to stay overnight in Manchester area for a college graduation. We chose Spring Hill Suites because we needed a large space (five adults and one toddler), for the value we found on [...], and for the amenities that we were looking for. Those included a heated indoor pool and hot tub, both very nice, although the hot tub was just a little too hot; free wifi and a work center, which came in handy when we needed to print something up at the last minute; fitness room; and complimentary breakfast bar, which offered a variety of delicious selections, and was well staffed by friendly, helpful people. The rooms were clean and nice, the bedding was very comfortable. Only negatives I can think of was that the only private place to change was the bathroom, so we had to take turns with that; there was no door separating the bedroom area from the "living" area, like I've seen in other suite hotel chains. And we had a hard time adjusting the room temp to a desirable level--the heat would come on and blow hot air out of the unit, then it would be too warm and it would start blowing cool air to bring the room temp down, which worried us because the baby was sleeping near the heating/cooling unit. We were going to shut it off and just use blankets, but the beds only had lightweight comforters on them, and the front desk was out of blankets. Because of that, we really didn't achieve a very restful sleep, but everything else was top notch.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

There really is nowhere in walking distance from the hotel, because it is on an industrial-type road that circumnavigates the airport. However, there are plenty of places to shop and eat within a five-minute drive. The hotel also provided us with a decent list of delivery restaurants, which we chose to utilize.

Nice Location , Comftorable Stay

Excellent Choice.. We stayed here for a four day weekend getaway with our two young children and we found it to be very comftorable.. Frontdesk was very friendly and housekeeping did an excellent job (even left candy on the kids pillows) The continental breakfast was excellent as well , the host was there to prepare waffles and was very helpful in assisting with the children as well . Would definately recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Great place & price. Super staff

Great room and price. We arrived after midnight and the clerk (Joe, I think, an elderly gentleman) was so helpful, friendly and professional. After a long flight it was so refreshing to deal with someone like him. Based on the room, price and the welcome we received, we would definately stay and recommend this hotel again.

An Excellent Place to Stay

Spent one night here and found the hotel check-in staff person very professional. The shuttle bus provided service from the airport and also to dinner that night. This is a wonderful hotel with an excellent suite with plenty of space and with all the amenities incl free internet that a traveler needs.

Upscale and affordable

Large room, suites are standard. Very comfortable. Shuttle for airport, rental car, restaurants. HIghly recommend. Only downside was their customer computer was so slow it was mostly useless.
