Woodwards started in 1956 with six cottages and has grown over the years into the full facility resort we have today. The resort is still owned and operated by the Woodward family. Our resort is known for customer service, well-appointed rooms, spacious landscaped grounds and excellent food. All of our rooms feature two queen beds, compact refrigerators, coffee makers, hairdryers and irons and ironing boards. We have a seasonal full service restaurant serving breakfast and dinner daily. Our pub overlooks the duck and trout pond, which in the winter becomes our lighted skating pond. The stone fireplace in our pub will warm you after a day of skiing. Enjoy our indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, Jacuzzi, tennis and racquetball courts, guest laundry, game room, kiddie play area, basketball, horseshoes, badminton, shuffleboard, or just relax by the pond while feeding our ducks and trout. In addition to what we offer here at the resort, you can find some great golfing 15-20 minutes away. There is also hiking, biking, skiing, snowmobiling and more nearby. We offer great packages for every season from our popular Summer Lobster Package, spring, summer and fall golf packages to Ski and Stay or snowmobiling packages in the winter. You can depend on the Woodward family and staff for a warm welcome and superb facilities. Come see why our guests have been returning for over 50 years. There will be a USD 10.00 charge for extra adults per day and a USD 10.00 charge for roll away beds. The front desk is open daily from 6am to 10pm. Housekeeping services from 8:30 to 2pm. Check-in time is after 2pm, day of arrival. Check-out is at 11am. Please note that rooms are not guaranteed to be available right away at 2pm. There may be times when access to your unit is unavoidably delayed due to cleaning/maintenance issues. Please proceed to the entrance of Woodwards for instructions on late check-in.

Great location for family stay

It's close to most of the family destinations in the White Mountains region. The room was spacious, and had a great view facing their outdoor swimming pool, their duck pond, and the mountains !! The bathroom was a bit small, but what made up for it, was a second sink outside the bathroom. The mattresses on both the queen beds in the room were creaky, but not uncomfortable to sleep on. At night, if the person on one bed sat up or moved about, you could hear the creak at every movement. However, it wasn't too loud to wake a sound sleeper. The sound insulation of the room was good, so you couldn't hear people in adjoining rooms or hear sound from your room outside your closed door. The food was good at breakfast and dinner. The service was good at dinner, but so-so at breakfast. We didn't buy their meal plan that they have available, because we wanted to try the various restaurants in the area. However, if you are traveling on a budget, the meal plan price seems good, only it forces you to eat there at breakfast as well as lunch to get the best value for your money. Their wifi speed was good, however during the evening hours I couldn't connect to it on my iPad2. It worked on my iPhone though, so go figure! However there was no problem connecting to it on my iPad in the morning. We used their dryer that hey have on premises, to dry our wet clothes from the water rides. It cost just $1.50 for a single load. Their premises are clean. My wife loved the mountain views from the outdoor swimming pool as well. I liked that they are just over a mile from the Main Street of Lincoln, but are located on a relatively quiet and peaceful street. Yes, it's on Daniel Webster Highway, but there is hardly any traffic on it, and it is quiet and peaceful at night. Overall, I think it was great value for our money considering its location from all the popular attractions and it's facilities. We stayed here for 6 days and 5 nights.

Money-saving tip: In Hotel

Buy their meal plan and eat at the hotel to save money. The food is decent. Meals could cost you twice over the length of your stay, without the meal plan, especially if you have two or more kids.

Clean and Simple

We selected this hotel because it was the only one we could find in the area that had 2 queen beds at a reasonable price. Most of the other hotels only had 2 doubles, which are not large enough for our family of 2 adults and 2 teens. The rooms were simple, but very clean and quiet.

The restaurant in the hotel was nice, but there is a village 5 minutes down the road that also has a few nice restaurants as well as a great ice cream shop.

Woodwards Resort Review

We staid in this resort while we went skiing in the White Mountains. The room was very nice. We liked having a refrigerator in the room, but having a microwave would have made it better. All in all, we found the accommodations very comfortable and affordable.

Everything we needed and more!

The hotel served it purpose and then some! The room was decent and a short walk to the restaurant. The hot tub and sauna were great following a cold and lengthy hike up Mt. Washington. Staff was friendly and food was good! No pizza delivery nearby though!

If you go one exit up (32), there are many great places to eat and there are several outdoor stores in the area. A relaxing and scenic day in North Conway was a great way to wind down. North Conway was about an hour away, but a very beautiful drive; well worth it!

A great place, nice rooms

The location is fantastic, especially if you are visiting the Franconia State Park. It is a couple of miles away from the Flume Gorge entrance and a few more from the tramway ride. The property itself is very good the rooms were clean, spacious and well maintained.
