Not bad

The hotel was perfect location because it was right next to the water park we drove up there for. the bed/pillow was uncomfortable but it was good enough for the one night we stayed there. the workout room was just fine to workout for the morning on the treadmill and the pool/jacuzzi was nice. Good location not bad for an economy hotel. Staff great, location great.

Great Sauna

We like the location to the White Mountains. Our first experience with a sauna which we really enjoyed. The pool and exercise room were good but early morning hours would have been nice. Several attractions were nearby. Breakfast was minimal.

Not a lot of options for eating, but we were there before the tourist season.

Just fine.

The room we were in seemed to have been fairly recently renovated (within the past couple of years, I'm guessing). The furnishings were contemporary, including the carpet. Our room and bathroom were very clean. Plenty of towels, although they're the meager sort you expect in a motel. The microwave and mini-fridge were handy. The outside of the motel was well-kept. My only criticism is the dingy hallway with smelly carpet that needs replacing. But that wouldn't keep me from staying there again next year. My number ranking takes a standard motel experience into account. I thought the price was high, but we went for the Highland Games, so I expect the prices to be inflated.

We went for the Highland Games. The Econolodge is one exit up 93 (1 mile) from Lincoln's retail center and Loon. There are restaurants near the Econolodge, though, so you don't have to go down the highway for a meal.

Great Staff, but Quite Rundown

The room was a big disappointment from the time we pulled up to the front door-it had peeling paint and was dirty. Inside, the decor was cheap and dated looking. It was very tiny and very damp. The rug actually felt wet, and the toilet was dripping with condensation. The beds were not very comfortable either. The bright spots to our stay were the friendly staff, and the indoor pool with connected hot tub. We usually had the pool area to ourselves, which was a plus. The location was pretty good. Although it wasn't within walking distance of anything, there were still so many places a short drive away. Our last complaint would be the continental breakfast-we were hoping for the waffle maker like the other Choice hotels offer. This was our first experience with an Econo Lodge, and unless they do some updating we will not return.
