Weekend get away
We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom town houses. The place was clean, but dated. The view from the balcony was very nice, but balcony was very small. Jacuzzi in master bedroom was nice. The king sized bed in the master bedroom looked nice until we layed down on it. Mattress was very FIRM. The pools and jacuzzi's that they have on site were enjoyable. Overall it was a nice stay, although next time we go to the Jackson area, we will try another place.

Hallsburg 121A
We were anxious to get away for the New Years weekend and we were looking forward to spending time in the Jackson area. We booked a 1 bedroom with sleeper sofa in the livingroom with a gas fireplace. We checked in with much information given to us about the resort. Once we found our way to the top of the hill and checked out our rental unit we found the fireplace was not in working order. The check in staff omitted this information. There were no alternative rooms available since it was a holiday weekend. We found the walls to be very thin. We could hear the neighbors. Our last morning we had to check out early because a transformer in the area knocked the power out. On the positvie side the rental was clean but does need some major updating. OH yes, swimming in the evening is almost impossible. Many tweens without parental supervision.

Great location, but Overpriced
Although this resort is in a great location, the room was not accurately described in their information on line. The "Penthouse suite" that I believed I was reserving ended up being just a regular small room on the third floor of a three unit building, which had an annoying barking dog in the unit under us! It also boasted that it had it's own fireplace- which turned out to be just a gas unit that couldn't even be regulated- if we wanted it on at all it had such a strong fan on it that we had to sleep with the sliding door open all night because it was so hot! And although I was told that it was in one of the "newly renovated" buildings, the rugs were all stained and filthy! With all the other choices in the North Conway area, I was really disappointed with this room and feel that it was NOT a good value.

So much to do!
We have stayed at a lot of places in this area and have always wanted to stay at Nordic Village. We stayed in room 122b in the Hallsburg area. The view was incredible, there was a gas fireplace and a jacuzzi. Jacuzzi was great. It never ran out of hot water. The unit was clean and had a microwave and mini fridge. The front desk staff were great. The only downfall is we could occasionally hear the people downstairs. Not sure if they were loud or if its just not very soundproof. so much to do just minutes away! We will definitely return.

Weekend Getaway
The hotel was beautiful... and the people were great. The only bad thing was there was some kind of fly infestation above our window and we were contsantly killing them. That was unpleasant. Other than that... it was very nice.

Happy Honeymooner
Happy Honeymoon!
Excellent place for a honeymoon get-away. We spent three nights and had a great time! It is in a beautiful location. Only problem was the neighbor kids in the condo below ours were trying to get into our room on the last night. We spoke with the staff about this on the way out and they said to call the front desk ASAP next time and the would send up someone to take care of the pesky teens. Very happy with the service and cleanliness- daily maid was very nice about bringing fresh linnens and what not. Recommend dinner at the Red Parker Pub!! Located <2 miles from Storyland- would be a great place to bring a family too!

Needs Updating
The best things are the location and indoor pool was nice but water was cool. Room was very outdated, probably from 80's and really needed to be updated. Wasn't very comfortable. Depends on the floor level of the condo you are assigned that depends on whether or not you have a good view. We did have a nice view from our balcony but only after we moved to a new room because the air conditioner did not work in the first room assigned.

In the Woods
Overall, the stay was fine the condominiums are not physically handicapped friendly in that the shower was not accessible due to the height of the step and there were a number of steps without handrails. Room had a slight order when one entered it but we got used to that. Again, the only problem was it was not designed for persons with mobility problems.
