Great Fall Get Away
My husband and I took a short Fall get away and I thought this location was perfect. Close enough to most attractions yet far away enough to have some peace and quiet, yet not in the boondocks either. Plenty of resturants (Mikes Pizzaa, The Wagonwheel) and the best thing was the views along the way to attractions. Just a wonderful place to stay.

Wonderful Stay!
Room was clean. Cleaning woman, very nice and helpful. My daughter had an overnight accident and she was very kind and understanding with helping me clean up to my satisfaction. Close to campground and various restaurants, shops and attractions. Will be back next year!

Love-to-See-New-Things
Clean room, friendly helpful staff
The Mt Madison Inn is located in the heart of the White Mountains of NH. It is close to the key attractions including the Auto Road and the Cog Railway to the top of Mt Washington. Although not fancy, the room was clean and functional. The Inn is a family run operation, and we found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. We plan to go back and stay there again.

Short drive from hotel
Definitely go to the top of Mt. Washington. Until you visit the top, you cannot imagine what it is like. The first time take the cog railway or the van on the Auto Road. It is well worth the little bit extra to take the guided van tour. Most cars are poorly suited for the drive. Engine cooling up and brake cooling down are serious concerns.

Friendly personnel and clean room
The motel was clean and personnel very friendly. We had a fridge, a microwave oven and a coffee maker in the room as well. The price was very reasonable. The location of the motel is very convenient, it is walkable distance to several restaurants in Gorham and the owner told us where to get great breakfast. The only negative thing is that they advertize that they have heated pool and jaccuzi, however these are outside, so they are not in use in the winter. Also WiFi was slow, but it worked. Overall we had a nice stay and will return again.

Angel the driver!!
nice people!!!
We got there late so we didn't see any staff, but they left me a note telling me my room num.. In the morning we left early so we never got to see any one.The room was very clean and very quiet!!

double booked
Arrived at the hotel to find they had double booked the room. Had to say in another hotel 8 miles out of town. Had to pay again for the second hotel and spend a long time on the phone with orbitz to get back my original payment

Helpful and friendly
The Mt Madison Motel in Gorham, New Hampshire is across the street from a Lobster Pound (a must for all tourists). The motel met our need for a comfortable clean place to sleep without paying for a lot of extras. There are many near by restaurants, the one recommended by the Motel was very good! We were new to the White Mountain area, the staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly they made our trip more enjoyable.

Short walk from hotel
If your not from the East Coast the Lobster Pound has to be tried at least once. Try it on a sunny day so you can have a picnic lunch. You pick out the lobster, they cook it and put it in a bag to go. They also have Lobster Rolls and clam chowder, no place to sit and eat except one outside table.

My review of MT Madison Motel
Staff was very friendly. No dining amenities. Rooms were okay. Toilet old and too low, and it took forever to get the hot water to run. Absolutely no shelf space in bathroom. Beds were great, and microwave and refrigerator were handy to have. We felt it was overpriced for the quality of the accommodations.
