I have stayed in some of the best hotels in the USA and a few that I would like to forget. Magnolia was selected for ... us. Visiting Omaha for wedding, stayed there with wife, daughter and other friends. Rooms were OK, bathroom did not have tub, shower only, and a pocket door that did not offer much privacy, Stayed in 201, was a little noisy due to after wedding parities. Friends had problems with bugs/bites and were comped room. I could find no evidence of vermin and the room was clean. Recent media reports of bedbugs and such had us all tearing back our sheets and inspecting, no problems for us. Staff was very friendly and helpful, but perhaps a little understaffed. Overall feeling of hotel was homey with a dash of funk. Nice bar. Probably not a good first choice for business, but I would consider returning with family.

I like to stay in boutique hotels when I travel for business. The magnolia is quaint and comfortable! I love that they do a ... happy hour of free drinks, free cookie bar at night and free breakfast buffet! I walked down the street to this secret gem neighborhood called the Old Market District! Who would of thought such a cute hip neighborhood in Nebraska! Fabulous business trip! A+

My first time at the Magnolia
Dee May 4, 2009
For the most part I enjoyed my stay at the Magnolia the staff was friendly and the rooms were nice. There were a few things I ... wasnt too impressed about in my room, there was no lock on the bathroom door, and there were visible small holes next to the room door that had not been repaired. The iron in my room was dirty it got stuck to my shirt and ruined it, however the hotel offered to replace the shirt which I thought was kind. The restaurant was also very nice including the staff, the food was great the spinach dip with artichoke was delicious. The hotel seemed to be pretty modernized with the furniture, the colors and the whole design of the place. The bed itself was not very comfy, however the pillows were very plush and it made up for the hard bed. All and all I would definitely stay at the Magnolia again, its a great hotel.

Charming
Patricia Sep 4, 2007
This hotel is a wonderful combination of classic European and new style contemporary. The room was very comfortable and ... quiet. The bath was lovely (would recommend some kind of safety bar in the shower since wet marble can be very slippery). The color scheme was very interesting and enjoyable. The bartender knew how to make a perfect martini and breakfast was delicious even tho' we came down later than the others.
