Unclean, Unsafe Feeling. Disappointed.

Traveling for business, we booked the Regency as it was still open and affordable during the College World Series. The lobby itself is fine and welcoming, however, my room on the first floor had THREE entry points (to the parking lot, the room next door, and finally the hallway) and was definitely not clean. Beyond feeling unsafe due to the amount of entryways, the floor was not vacuumed, the room smelled of moth balls, and the shower was broken. I checked out fairly early in the morning to sit and read in the lobby because I was scared my things would smell like the hotel room and there were spiders visible in the bathroom. Ugh.

Wouldn't pay full price

Went for a family vacation to the zoo. Was disappointed by the 'lodge' description...just because you put bear wallpaper border on the walls doesn't make it a lodge. Breakfast was good, better than just pastries and cold cereal. Though they wanted to charge $9 for people not staying at the hotel...totally not worth that. Shower was unpredictable...I got scalded twice and my husband 4 times. All in all it was an average hotel that didn't impress me all that much, would not pay full price for a room there

Just down the road was a WalMart a Target and a mall. It's not really 'advertised' at the hotel, but if you drive just down the main road you'll run into a whole bunch of stuff.

2 Night Stay- Good

We were in town visiting family. We ate at the free breakfast bar each morning, which was wonderful. It had a good array of breakfast choices. The lodge was clean and friendly. Minor issues were; loud and sticking doors, card key did not work consistantly on the outside door, we had to request towels for the pool area because they ran out, and the pool was very gloomy, one of the pool lights was floating with wiring instead of safely secured in the wall as it should be. Overall the room was nice and hotel itself clean and friendly. I would recommend the hotel unless you are there for the enjoyment of the pool.

Comfort and Style

We were there to visit with family. It was a perfect location for I-80, and access to Gretna, Nebraska where my relatives were. We enjoyed the full breakfast, and relaxed atmosphere in the evening! We have stayed here several times because we were married here and have great memories of that event. We will keep coming back!

Normal

This hotel was fine. It wasn't that "lodge-ish," but it was clean and quiet enough. The pool was decent, the breakfast was decent (although we had to wait in line to get it--lots of people). It was sort of out of the way to get to, but I guess that depends on what you are doing while in Omaha. It wasn't bad for the price we paid online, but the rates on their website are too high. If you get an online deal though, it's pretty good.

Will not stay at the Regency Lodge again

My experience began upon arrival at the hotel. I had reserved a Superior room with 2 queen beds but was given a room with 1 double bed. When inquiring with the hotel manager I was told that since I booked through an outside party ([...]), the hotel could not guarantee the room type. The hotel offered me a 2 queen bed room at double the price I had originally booked through [...]. I informed the hotel this was unacceptable. [...] Furthermore, aside from the hotel lobby entrance which appeared to have been recently remodeled, the remainder of the hotel was very dated and equivalent to a 1-2 star rating level. The lock on the hotel room door didn't even work and it took nearly 2 hours to have it fixed. I will not stay at this hotel again. [...]

Comfortable and quiet

This place does big business w/weddings, parties which means slow service if you want to eat in the lounge (not the bartender's fault, she was busy and needed help); we spent over an hour waiting to be served w/two kids under 5! Rooms were terrific, very quiet, yet central location, pool was good for adults, not so much for young kids. Would stay here again but not with kids.
