Kudos to the staff at the LaQuinta in South Omaha! When we checked in, the clerk was very busy, but he kept the line flowing ... nicely, taking sufficient time with each of us, visiting courteously, but not taking an unnecessary amount of time. Later, when we needed directions to a restaurant, he pulled out a map and gave us explicit directions and we drove right to it. The next morning, my husband was sleeping in and I didn't want to disturb him, so I asked at the front desk if they had an extra hair dryer I could use in the lobby restroom and the desk clerk was happy to accommodate me. Competent staff are great assets in the motel industry.

Upon entering the lobby, the carpets were dirty and worn, the desk clerk was unkept with wrinkled shirt hanging in a mess, ... greasy hair. The room was marginally clean, hair on the floor in the bathroom, old faded bedspreads, and the breakfast room floor was so dirty and sticky, your feet stuck to the floor! Certainly not a four or five star hotel!!
