Holiday Inn OMAHA

Staff was professional and responsive. Nonetheless the condition of the room left much to be desired. A lamp at the work ... desk did not work. A mirror on a bifold closet door was cracked. In the shower/bathtub area, there was a chip in the tub near the drain that was already in the rust stage. At the end of the tub exterior near the wall, the shower curtain was hiding an area of extensive mildew on the wall. Higher up on the same wall there was evidence of cracked and peeling paint. I reported all these deficiencies to the desk. I am lead to believe from their reaction that these problems will be corrected. I certainly hope this is the case.

I have used this hotel in the past and there is a shopping area with stores a relatively short walk away. The only drawback -- if one can call it that -- is that the way walk is less direct than it could be. Still even with that, it's not bad unless the traveler has medical issues.

Warm and friendly

My sister and I were staying in Omaha for a tennis event. The staff would ask us each morning how we did and wish us luck ... for the days matches. Rooms were clean and hotel was situated in a quiet location.

If you're in Omaha with family and just want a good breakfast, decent price, and pool to tire out the kids, then this Holiday Inn is a winner. If you want one of the newer Holiday Inns with nicer rooms, then you may want to go elsewhere.

Average hotel and rather old Holiday Inn

I used award points for one of two rooms and booked the other through Cheaptickets. The hotel manager was very nice and got ... our rooms to be adjoining, which was great for the kids. Once the pool was cleaned on day three of our stay, it was quite nice. Nobody even uses it so it was like having our own pool for the week we were there. Restaurant food was cheap, but very tasty - with the kids eating free (up to 4 kids under age 12), it made for very filling and inexpensive meals when we ate there. The location isn't bad either - right off of Dodge and really central to just about anything in the Omaha area.

If you're in Omaha with family and just want a good breakfast, decent price, and pool to tire out the kids, then this Holiday Inn is a winner. If you want one of the newer Holiday Inns with nicer rooms, then you may want to go elsewhere.

We were in Omaha for the College World Series, the location of the hotel was great and the staff was was helpful and ... friendly. The kids enjoyed the pool although it did get quite crowded. Thank you for the great time!

The room was very comfortable and clean and the staff was very friendly. However, my husband found the whirlpool lukewarm ... instead of hot and he found the bathroom near the front desk not very clean.

The room was far better than i had expected. We booked this room for a wedding that we had in the area. We were not ... expecting to get a balcony that overlooked the swimming pool - which was very nice. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. I would recommend this to a friend and would come back again. Only thing i would not do again - not eat in the restaurant; little over priced for the breakfast buffet as far as selection goes.

My review of Holiday Inn OMAHA

I was disappointed with this Holiday Inn because I read the review that this was Nebraska's newest luxury hotel. The bathtub ... shower always had a build-up of water and would drain slowly. The air conditioner would never consistently blow cold air. It always seemed to be warm in the room. My wife wanted to iron some clothes but there was a rust build-up on the iron. She left a note for the maid to replace the iron and left the maid a tip but the iron was never replaced. The hotel sits on a hill but the parking lot is flat. It rained every day we were in Omaha so whenever we went to get into the car we were stepping in a deep puddle of water from the night before. Access to various parts of Omaha was good because of the nearby interstate.

The iside has been refurbished, The room was comfortable, with plenty of room. Had desk, chair and pull-out sofabed along ... with the king-size bed. Interet access. TV stand, dresser,coffeemaker with coffee and tea (very rare). Bathroom area separate from vanity. Plenty of closet space. The food chice at the restaurent was very limited and there are no other restaurents in walking distance. The outside needs work, and it appears that there is ongoing refurbismet there also. Because of nearby hghway work it is easy to get turned around - I missed the turnoff from the highway but took the next exit and found it fairly quickly after that. Staff friendly and helpful.

Just an OK Place

The bedding was the nicest thing about our stay. The room was otherwise just a basic OK hotel. We chose this hotel for the ... pool and it was shut while we were there due to chemical problems. The lobby was nice but when you entered the building from the parking lot there was a heavy smoke odor. There was a seperate vanity outside the bathroom which was nice, and the bath itself was roomy. The staff at the front desk was not attentive. When I was checking out the attendant was helping someone on the phone with a hotel scheduling mix up on their part and the mananger came out and did not help me because she was just coming out to use the copier. After about 10 minutes I asked if she might assist me and she did. Location was right off the main road and was fine. Overall it was just an OK place to stay.

There were restaurants and everything else with in a short drive. In Omaha everything is only 20 minutes away. We were probably 10 minutes drive from the new mall with some great restaurants.

There were restaurants and everything else with in a short drive. In Omaha everything is only 20 minutes away. We were probably 10 minutes drive from the new mall with some great restaurants.
