Cristmas Symphony Getaway
Great location for downtown business or leisure stay. We walked to the Holland Center for the symphony but the Double Tree staff is always happy to arrange for complimentary shuttle service in the area and to the Old Market for shopping and dining. "Big" hotel feel yet Coffee & Bailey's by the lobby fireplace was a cozy end to winter outing. Clean, nicely appointed room and friendly staff made for the perfect weekend.

College road trip
We traveled from Hawaii to help my daughter get settled in at her college. The hotel was close by her college and the airport. Driiving in the area was very convenient to the shopping areas. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Parking also was convenient and not to expensive.

Professional, comfortable, accessible
Staff is efficient and friendly. Room was spacious and decently appointed. Overall, exactly what you expect from a business-class hotel. Highlights: * Located square in the middle of downtown, within walking distance of the Old Market area and nightlife. * On-site parking garage reasonably priced thru hotel, unlimited enter/exit privileges. Minor quibbles: * Was assigned wheelchair-accessible room. Hanger rod in wardrobe too low for normal-sized shirts - shirt tails dragged on bottom of wardrobe. * A/C thermostat stuck on full cold. Bundle up to go to sleep!

Short walk from hotel
Old Market area attractions (shops, dining, nightlife) three to six blocks away. Leave the car in the ramp - the Old Market area is best sampled on foot.

Wish I could have stayed longer!
Omaha is a pretty cool town and a well kept midwest secret. Downtown Omaha is a lot of fun with lots of things to do. The Hotel was nice as always. Very clean, updated, the lobby is awesome and service was nice. I think the only issue was we just needed more towels. The pool and workout rooms are great to use and sanitary. I enjoyed my stay and will always check the Double Tree first.

Short walk from hotel
Go to the Old Warehouse Market and just walk around. Grab a slice of pizza at Zios in the old Market, grab a drink at any of the local microbrew pubs, and shoot some pool at the Upstream and just walk around and check out the shops and clubs in the Warehouse district. Theres the Casinos, the Zoo, Quest Arena, the new Baseball stadium and the Malls are great as well.

Bad experience but they are making it up
My husband and I wanted to stay there after a concert at the Quest center. When I booked the hotel I specifically requested a non smoking room. It did state on my reservation non smoking room. We were given a smoking room and were told there was nothing they could do since we went through a third party to book our hotel. I was upset but just so tired I wanted to go sleep. The room's air conditioning/fan didn't work. So it smelled horrible and there was no ventilation. To top it off I am pregnant. So let's just say I was frustrated. Tried calling the front desk but the phone in our room would not connect us. We woke up at 2:30 to people partying in the hallway. I had to say something to them and then my husband had to 5 min later. We woke up again at 4:30 from the same thing. By this time I was in tears, smelled like smoke and just wanted to go home. Since our phone didn't work in our room I had to call information and get the hotel's number. Called them and they sent security up. The guy told me they were very sorry and he would comp our room for the night. When we went to the front desk in the morning, the story was different. I told the lady what had happened and what the guy at the front desk said. [...]She was very understanding and felt horrible. She couldn't belive they stuck us in a smoking room and also what we had to go through during the night. She said she would talk to her manager and call me later. She did what she said and called me 3 hours later and told me they would give us a free night in a suite whenever we wanted and also send up some non-alcoholic champagne for me. We are understanding and do believe in second chances. I really hope the next time we stay, our impression of the hotel changes dramatically so I can give it a much better review.

Hotel stay for concert!!
Here is my opionions... You should have someone out every morning to make sure that the entry drive is clean and free of trash and debris. That is the first thing that people see and a pretty simple fix. Service was good overall. The room was about a two out of five. The shower and bath was not really clean and the drain was not operating like it should. The bathroom door was falling apart from the shower spray, just something I noticed... TKS
